Due to the holidays and Russian Nationals this week, I probably won't get to upping the CBC footage until this weekend. I will try to have the ladies event completed by then (possibly more), at least that's the plan for now.

Part 2 - Barcelona city sites, Wagner's K&C, Anna Pogorilaya FS, Ashley Wagner interview, Elena Radionova backstage, Julia Lipnitskaia preview.

I love Radionova's SP, but I have to wonder if it's kitschiness may be holding her down a little bit score wise... I have a hard time seeing that program skated cleanly scored higher than Yulia's SP skated cleanly.

I guess it will depend if Yulia does a 3Lz+3T or 3T+3T, and if she gets an edge call.

I also really love Lena's SP, even if it's a bit crazy and trashy, but I'm not sure what the judges think of it. My impression from looking at the Russian forums and news is that they think it is a bunch of crap that Lena sells well, but I feel like the foreign fans are a little more positive...? The British Eurosport guys definitely love it. It definitely stands out from what the others are doing, for better or worse...

Yes.
Also at SA she said "Thank you" to the audience while in Paris she said "Merci" to some.
She also changed her exhibition to the French song "amies ennemies" explicitly for TEB.
I think it becomes very clear that she is a person who can not only understand and handle the public well but also someone who knows how to play camera attention and the press to their own advantage instead of trying to avoid it.
She's a little star already imo.

About her SP:

Exactly my feelings. I wouldn't call it a strong word like that but I think she could have made a smarter choice than JLo.
BUT like people say, Elena can sell anything very well, that's why I love watching the program nonetheless !
