probs others can do a better job but basically she says that she had a childhood, had fun, played w/kids outside & that she chose this life herself (being a sportsman that is) "Everyone goes to school but not everyone can go to a championship"
lol "I even was in Japan!!" she says "People is like from another world (positively ofc:biggrin:). Now its become 1 of my fav countries"
Everything she does she does with joy. She liked the photoshoot (took her 3 hours)
Its her 1st serious photoshoot. "I like to change images. But my favourite is classic style. High hairstyles, different shoes, hats, something like the blue dress on Ornella Muti in "Il Bisbetico Domato"
She's humble & says that to wear such to champions' bashes/dinners she has to win more important competitions. For now there werent many occasions to wer such things.
Mom raised her with the belief that u shouldnt wish ill on anybody b/c this will return back to you eventually so Lena tries to follow that line of thought & tries to never do bad things. She is known as a compassionate person she feels for everyone who steps on the ice to perform, even her rivals & sometimes she takes something to heart. "I know how important it is (competing & perform well) & if I support someone today, tomorrow that person will support me"
Lena talks about her father who decided to take to to the skating rink in hopes of doing something with her talipes (google translated term) & it worked. Her legs became better. During Euro chmps & otehr competitions she watched themm danced before the tv & imagined herself standing on the podium :biggrin:
After her 1st place in the Juniours she first felt what it was like to cry happy tears. (she didnt expect b/c was behind the leader only by 0.2 points)
She was very happy performing at the Olypics even though it was only an EX. it was a great oppportunity b/c the whole world was watching & it was important for her experience. Especially wondeful that she didnt have to think about the scores & such things.
Inna disagrees that younger gals cant compete for the part in the team along with the older gals. "If they're technically prepared so why cant they compete alongside others?" She always considered Lena's age & didnt give Lena age unappropriate programs that show passion or married life etc.
Lena doesnt feel like Inna is her boss, but parctically as a 2nd mom. teh article writes a bit about Inna's against illness & how her husband & Lena greatly helped her overcome it & the depression that followed. How they helped each other, how talented of a coach Inna is & that being with Lena from the start was a big factor for Inna to go on coaching. Then about the fact that Lena is in the process of growing & how dangerous this parios of life it for a skater.
There was not any definite goal for the season. Lena doesnt feel like her growing is that much of a factor in her elements right now but she cant wear a juniours costume she likes so much now b/c she grew so much. Lena doesnt like to think what she might do if she lost the ability to skate. But she'd probably like to be a sylist (but humbly comments that who knows maybe she doesnt have the perfect taste that profession requires), actor. She talks like in some interview before how she likes Audrey H. She doesnt have idols , thinks that you should be true to yourself not imitating someone else.

Basically nothing groundbreaking I guess

I'm sure I've said this before, but I definitely think Lena's very close relationship with Inna is part of the reason she is so consistent. (It reminds me of Zhenya Kanaeva, the rhythmic gymnast, who also had the same coach her whole life.)

Yes, but you don't forget Irina Viner is in the RG like Tarasova, Mishin, Eteri, Frank Caroll,Lori Nichol etc. all together...:yes::laugh:

I was thinking more of Kanaeva and her personal coach, Vera Shtelbaums, but you are right! Irina Viner is the empress of RG!!

As it turns out, the actress who played the original Nastyenka was also a figure skater!! :shocked:

I don't know about the other two girls in this pic https://instagram.com/p/0LQR3BwYR9/ ,but the one on the right with the golden watch is one of Elena's best friends Lera (or Valeria Evseeva more precisely), and she was the birthday girl :hb:.

And she is also one of Inna's pupils (a figure skater).

Oh no! It was Valeria's birthday not Elena's. Elena's was January 6th.

Then again, when you think about it, I'm sure everyday is like a birthday in Elena's life so I'm gonna go with you on this one. Happy birthday Elena!!:dance: Today (March 16th) she turns 16 years and 69 days!!

Tomorrow she turns 16 years and 70 days. It'll be a huge party:cheer:
