Honestly I was kind of pleasantly surprised to see this, because I kind of got the (misguided?) impression that Lena and Zhenya don't get along that well, since they didn't take any photos together at Rostelecom or GPF. But I guess they get along perfectly fine, even if they're not super close or anything.

Yes. It seemed that Zhenya is friendly to everyone but not so with Lena. It's good to know that they are not really aloof with each other. Maybe they just dont click like to other skaters that they are close with
