I love that picture of her hugging Yulia with the other girls! It's not like I know what Lena or Yulia are like in real life or how close they are, but I suspect they have very complementary personalities and they do seem to get along. It nice to see the ladies supporting each other.

ETA: Totally forgot to congratulate my little diva ice queen for skating one of the best SPs this season! I get so used to her consistency and passion I sometimes take it for granted :laugh:

The announcers on ESPN3 went on and on about how nice a girl and how friendly Elena is. They were not like that about any of the other ladies. I suspect Elena gets along with just about anyone. She just strikes me as that type. She and Yulia seemed to have gotten closer over this past year. Elena gave an interview in which she said that many people have the wrong perception of Yulia and that she is really funny. I almost wonder if their closeness came because of Yulia's problems with Eteri.

Really happy that I forked over cash for good seats to the Worlds ladies LP and SP. I might even buy something for Elena to throw on the ice. Given that this predicted to she is having pretty good season.

Right? Disappointed as I am that I might not see Liza, I'm so psyched to see my favorite drama queen throw down another Titanic performance in Boston. So great that she was able to overcome the first lutz to skate so well today.

Too much make-up, i prefer a clean face / little makeup on her baby face.
And that pose, i think she has trained in front of the mirror before the competition.

No, no, no, no! She's done the pose ever since she was like five! Haven't you seen any of those old pose pictures. Then again, she probably does practise that pose every time before she goes to a medal ceremony. :biggrin:

And the other thing, though a lot of girls in the FS world wear even more make-up, I agree with you, very little make-up or none at all is the best for her. Such a natural baby face beauty she is! :luv17:

It's not gonna happen though, because she loves following certain "beauty standards".
