I would've expected them to invite Anna Pogorilaya (who actually won Rostelecom) instead. But who knows? Maybe she was busy... :shrug:

I haven't been able to find a video yet, unfortunately...All I know is that she said she is close to Liza, Adelina, and Yulia (but we knew that already). :biggrin:

It's old news mostly, since it's from a few months ago, but it was interesting to learn that Lena's mom loves rock but Lena doesn't. :laugh:

So awesome! Wish I was "in the know" back then. My love for this sport began at the first skating event I ever attended which was the ladies FS at Boston World's. I only knew of Gracie and Ashley at that time. I just returned from Trophee de France and have Helsinki scheduled. Lena is one of my absolute favorites. Thanks for sharing 😊
 
Hi guys, may I ask your opinion(s) about Lena's COC15 FS performance and her COR16 FS performance? because I don't understand some post about Lena, a few weeks ago, being the Rostelecom Darling (late reaction :D) .. because, for me, as-a-not-so-technically-knowledgeable-viewer, I like her 2016 first event than last year's but her score at COC15 was higher.

Elena made many smaller and bigger mistakes in her elements this year. Step outs, two-footed landings, just scratchy and shaky landings overall. All that lost her a lot of points in grade of execution. A fall in FP didn't help either. In general, I think she didn't skate her programs through enough times yet to be completely confident in them (likely due to recent sickness), but this will change as season goes on.
