Depends on the skater. Mariah Bell has already announced her music for next season. Most start in May/June, but don't expect to see much about Lena's programs until the Russian Test skates that take place in Sept. about the most you might know before then is her choreographers.

She can't rely only on her perseverance anymore, her strenght is not enough, as you can see in her scores this season were she was even surpassed by Sotskova (and i don't think she is worse than Masha).

She need to fix her jump for good, an untolerable issue she still have since she left junior skating.

I'm glad it's Elena who's going to WTT. Poor Anna Pogo really needs a break and rest now, while Elena can show that she still has it.

I feel bad for Anna :sad21: , but I do agree. If Lena can get her jumps stable again and get some decent programs for next season, I do think her chances of making the Olympic team just went up. Because now the Fed can't be sure they can rely on Anna, whereas even if Lena makes mistakes, she never is a total disaster... :yes: And Masha didn't do so well either. So we'll see. I really hope Lena is now super motivated to work really hard and fight! :agree:

Separately, I wonder what Lena has been up to! Where are the photoshoot pics??? She hasn't posted anything recently...

ETA Ooh, I forgot to mention that I just visited Bellinzona (where the Music on Ice show was) and Lugano, and I saw the town square and castle and lake that Lena visited in January!!

Neither Sotskova nor Pogorilaya performed that well, and given how the final standings shook out, have to think a healthy Lena could have taken at least a bronze here.

I think it's a bit optimistic to think she could've gotten on the podium, but she definitely could've been 4th! :yes:

But OMG OMG!!! :eekn: Lena's going to be at WTT???!!! Never in my wildest dreams did I think she'd have a chance to compete there, so I'm stunned! And also, :hap57:

This is a "fluff" competition but it could be really important for Lena in terms of her prospects for next year. If she can deliver two solid skates at WTT, she can definitely make the Fed think that they should've sent her to Worlds and that they should send her to the Olympics, because she's reliable. This is really her chance to prove that she deserves a spot on that team. :yes:

So I really hope Lena is training hard and is in full-on SLAY mode! :agree:

Separately, Misha Ge said he's in talks to choreograph programs for two Russian ladies for next season.
