Interview for application "Inskate", fragments. Video and text translate in English.

The most interesting
We started creating an free program. Of course, I will not tell you the music and the idea yet. We are in the process of preparing for the new season.

I do not study quadruple jumps and triple axel, but now we are looking for everything new, not only in jumping, but also in steps, in spins. Even during the season I try to add something, to progress, because I can not stand on the spot.

I finished school well, to the gold medal is not enough of one mark "5".

We now invented a new spin

New interview with Radionova:

Sounds like she got over the disappointment of not making the Olympic Team, and is not ready to retire just yet. Here's hoping she has a great next season and doesn't let distractions get in her way of competing. Batsuchan may get her wish of Radionova having Chernyshev choreograph her programs!

Honestly, I miss Radio. I used to love the rivalry she had first with Liza and then with Zhenya but it‘s sad how she always turned out to be second after someone. She constantly needed to fight for everything she achieved, nothing was given to her. And now I feel like she doesn‘t have any chance at all, however much she tries it. She‘s a lovely girl, very beautiful and „real“ (as in, she doesn‘t fake emotions on the ice). However, I never really felt that her programs did her justice and it was just unfortunate that she grew so much. And yet she fought through it! Others, like Zhenya, maybe they don‘t have it easier in general but they do have the physical advantage over Lena. And that‘s what makes me sad. I just feel that Lena never had any luck ?? Not with her age like Alina nor in her body type (which is gorgeous of course but the changes were unfortunate for a figure skater) nor in the way the fed treated her. And now she‘ll get lost in the crowd and probably retire. No way to push against Zhenya, Alina, Masha, Trusova, Kostornaya, and Sherbakova. There are just too many in Russia. Poor Lena :(

Glad she got two spots. Though, she is not likely to be part of the world team anymore (especially from next season), I hope she'll stay at a level where she will retain two spots.

I'm not surprised, she deserved it, even Daria Panenkova got 2 spots, so..

I don't understand why people act like she is in a very low level, she is in the same level with Polina and Maria. But Elena was a bit unlucky last season, her GP events were the hardest ones. Maria won two silver medals at GP because last season SC was like a JGP. Then she qualified to GPF with only one good perfromance (I don't think that it was so much better than Elena at CoC or Polina at NHK)
And the fed decided to send her to the europeans, olympics and worlds. But she disappointed us. I actually think that Elena or Polina would peform better than her. Now let's look at the scores:

Maria(SC): 192.52 2nd
Maria(IDF): 208.78 2nd
Polina(SA): 195.56 4th
Polina(NHK): 213.19 3th
Elena(CoR): 195.52 4th
Elena (CoC): 206.82 3th

Also Elena took the gold medal at Shanghai Trophy while Maria takes bronze.

She doesn‘t face Alina/Evgenia in her GP assignments which is great! Hope she‘ll manage to medal at both of them. Don‘t know whether she‘ll manage to reach the final but I‘ll surely cheer her on. Go, Lena!! :cheer:

I didn't say or act like Elena is at a very low level. Getting two GP spots isn't low level.
The only reason why Elena was not at the Olympics is because she is from one of two countries where the competition for spots is so intense that even really good skaters don't get to join the biggest competition. If she had been from my country, for instance, she would have been heralded as "the best Dutch figure skater for decades, aiming for an Olympic medal" or something like that.

I agree with you!
Last season Lena received extremely difficult assignments, I remember she ran into Evgenia in almost every event. They were not at all careful where to send her, she would have had less pressure.

Even so, she fought to the end, tried to save every jump, she medalled in a GP, almost goes to the final, only for a minimum error didn't qualify, it 's not as if she had made a great disaster. I think that not qualifying generated some insecurity and that's why she was nervous in the nationals, making the Olympic team was a great pressure for her, but now that pressure is no longer there.

Lena has a 3Lz-3T both in her SP and FS, when she is healthy, fit and secure she has no major problems of landing or UR. Laid with her puberty affected her jumps in the past 2 seasons, but she already has her body formed, if she are fit she can control her landings and rotations. Besides, her PCS are high both nationally and internationally, she already has a reputation in that aspect.

Her assignments this season look better, I hope she gets medals. I just hope that buyanova will give her good programs, and overcome that stigma left her by the horrible Titanic.

Would love to see Elena make a comeback this year! I hope she gets good programs, and her jumps are stable. I have not liked her programs much since her first season as a senior. The Russian field is deep, and Lena didn't have a great last season so I'm not expecting her to make GPF or the National Team for Worlds, but it would be a lovely surprise if she proves me and all her other naysayers wrong!

Yes! She was in 8th place in the GP results. She doesn't have major problems like UR. Her lutz was a bit scratchy, but i think she can fix it. I personally trust her more than Maria, if Maria did it last season, Elena can do better this season.
GO LENA!!
