Elizabet Tursynbaeva

I'm angry that this nosebleed happened to Elizabet and for ISU stupid rules. That -5.00 is quite harsh. I mean, was she supposed to bleed on the ice? But then they would sure gave her deduction for dirtying ice :scowl:

Oh poor bb! The deduction was too harsh. But nice comeback, I enjoyed a lot her program, she sells it so well:luv17: I hope for tomorrow a great free, she's strong and she can do it!

I was so livid about this  it's not like she could control it, it just happened, and it took a while for the paramedics to try to stop the nosebleed anyway. I can think of a lot of times when the skater paused their program for a longer period of time and didn't get any deductions. I wish her the best in the free skate.

i dont know how do skaters stay so strong, i still feel depressed after what happened to her, but she showed once again how strong and calm she is, i will be really sad if we dont get to see that program cleanly cause i think its amazing!! so many nuances and she never misses the beat  i know rules are the rules but 5 points deduction seems really unfair since there was nothing she could have done

here is her SP: http://youtube.com/watch?v=d_jC8PnceeA

and word of encouragement from Nam : https://twitter.com/namnamnoodle/status/710854125064290304 , such a nice big bro! :luv17:

i am really curious why they changed her layout (well, onviously for more points), 3S3T combo in 2nd half would be better for her since her lutz isnt that consistent

Good luck at LP Elizabet!!

She will strike back, don't worry! Strong kid she is :)

It was really impressive how she just came back and skated so lovely. She must have felt the missing oxygen in her blood, having one part of her nose covered, most likely receiving a stitch in the process, due the new breathing technique.

Good Luck for her tomorrow ;)

always great to hear from ppl seeing skaters live! have a question, how fast is she compared to "bigger" girls? i think she has very strong basic skills and moves effortlessly, i want to confirrm that hopefully i am not too biased

Hopefully she can climb up like *COUGH COUGH SPOILER ALERT* ....Daniel did.

Elizabet just skated a clean free skate and earned a new personal best of 120.72! :points: She is currently in first place, with 12 more skaters to go. I'm hoping she stays on the podium, although I don't know the likelihood of it, considering her score was low-balled in the short.

yes, what a comeback!! podium finish is pretty impossible though, she is too far behind, even top5 is very hard but she can be proud of herself, she was wonderful!! :luv17:

Petite Bombshell will amaze us in the FS, I'm sure of it!

And she did!

She was incredible, and what a comeback!
Her mom was saying "See? You can do it! You can do it when you want it!", and Brian was so happy, and Elizabet was so happy, and everyone was so happy!
A great skate, and maayybeee a top 5 finish :)

Yay Liza! I knew she could do it! And in two weeks, seniors Worlds. This girl never stops:yahoo: I read on twitter that this was her 8th competition this year:shocked:I hope at worlds she can do a perfect short too, and see her smilingly with Orser like today.

I have seen her long program in the rink and she was completely, absolutely gorgeous! Her skating hit me emotionally the hardest, the second part of the program is just pure magic.:luv17::luv17:
Elizabet has such a great fighting spirit. I think she is mentally a very strong competitior which is really important in this sport.

I have bought for her the softest, cutest teddy bear which I could find in Debrecen, and I threw it on the rink after her LP. She deserved it :agree::luv17:
