Elizabet Tursynbaeva

If any skater skates to Spirited away One sumers Day , or Always with me orrrrr Sixth stop , i think i will cry about an hour maybe o.O i would loooove to see anime music performed by a skater. Mevedeva made the start but with the most famous but old anime in Japan. I didnt know the fs of Tursynbaeva is from Prince Mononoke !! Such suuuch a lovely anime movie <3

very nice Liza,
and Yuzuru at the background :laugh2:

Is Yuzuru? I thought he was Jun Hwan, Idk the hair and body's shape seems more like him :scratch2:
EDIT: I watched Cha's LP and I think it's him. At the beginning of the program he does two spread eagles like in the vid.

The music from Princess Monoke (her FS) contains many pieces of music that I love very much, so hopefully with some time and practice she'll be able to perform the program to its full potential. Very few skaters have programs to Joe Hisaishi (which I find unfortunate, maybe because he is not a western composer...) so I always love a good program to some of his great music! In fact, I would love to see a Spirited Away program, as I love the music to that movie as well. I don't have a problem with her music cuts, either. It's a good mix of the two most recognizable themes from the movie.

I feel exactly the same... Very happy someone is finally skating to this. Princess Mononoke is just magical. A wonderful story with a serious message and music is divine; Departure to the West is the main musical thread through the mix... So beautiful! Kodama who are the barometer for health of forests, and the deer who is the Spirit of Nature itself from which all living things grow (flowers grow and spread from each step it takes) the wolves and their courage and kindness in raising Mononoke from an infant to the strong vital fighting spirit she becomes..... It's a masterpiece.

I remember , though , being scared by this black thing in the woods. But overall i agree with you. I hope elizaveta fixes the programm so that we can see a masterpiece indeed in the Grand prix series and of course in the Worlds !! Hope other skaters choose those music. Howls moving castle and Nausicaa in the valley too have wonderful soundtracks. An exhibition of Yuzuru would be so so beautiful... !

Yes... that destructive black thing was scary. It's a little sad when skating does not measure up to music one loves but when it does it is special. Hoping the very best for this wonderful skater! Music you mentioned is memorable for me too - especially Howl's - also find theme for Grave of the Fireflies enchanting but have only watched it once.. cried uncontrollably through it... So beautiful yet heart-rending too.

Thanks to the one who posted the LP (link), honestly I've been looking for that for a couple of days until I found it here. LOL! been a lurker for sometime, just want to post a comment here first.:) I'm loving her new programs and I hope she gets to nail those jumps soon. :)

Welcome to Golden Skate DiamondDust!! This is a great thread to post in ;)

I've been holding off watching the senior programs, want them to be a surprise for when the GPs start, but a friend sent me the link to Elizabet's LP set to Mononoke Hime. I'm a huge Joe Hisaishi fan (and adore the Miyazaki movies, of course), so naturally I had to see it, and I was in tears within seconds. I cannot hear that music without crying, it's so beautiful.

Here's to wishing Elizabet all the best this season, and I hope she nails this program and it'll turn into the perfect program that it can be. :agree:
