That was an impressive RD debut. Speed, especially, was remarkable.

I don't understand Elizaveta's dress colour, which doesn't seem to fit the program at all; La La Land has a very distinctive jewel tones colour scheme.

Russian Fed has switched their 2nd JGP event to JGP Poland. K/F switched events with Davis/Smolkin who will skate at the JGP Russia now.

YAY! They won! This was a great start for their season. Looking forward to their 2nd event. By they way, Liza had even better reaction to their placement at the K&C in FD than in RD but it seems their FD video were banned and so was the FD stream but maybe there will be a video later.

Russian Fed has changed their 2nd event from JGP Poland to JGP Italy. It looks like no team will replace them at JGP Poland, so, Russia teams lost another JGP spot. Russian Fed keeps planning these things really poorly.

That is absolutely appalling planning by the Russian Fed. So much depth in their dance field and they just give up spots? Ridiculous. Maybe they wanted to them to avoid N/K? How hard can it be to plan the JGP slots?

I thought K/F were superb in Riga. I wasn’t expecting to much as they are such a new partnership but they have made a real splash. I wasn’t so keen on the bolero mix, prefer the test skate version, but I still loved the routine. They are a real threat for Junior Worlds.

I am thinking that this was because of U/N who WD from the 6th and 7th event. Both changes happened simultaneously after all. But in any case, this was extremely poor planning and because of that there will be only one dance team at the JGP Poland.

They should have given the Italy spot to Tyutyunina/Shustitskiy, since a win would allow them to qualify over the French I think, but it looks like RusFed just gave it up instead. I don't see how K/F could have finished worse than 2nd in Poland, so they would have qualified no matter which event they went to.

Yeah, I also thought that JGP Italy would have been a great event for T/S.

It seems that K/F WD because of illness or injury.
Dance couple Elizaveta Khudayberdieva - Andrei Filatov will not compete for medical reasons.

I find that even more confusing, honestly. So supposedly U/N were going to have to withdraw, but originally RusFed wasn't going to reassign one of its big hitters to replace them? I don't see why they would leave Italy so open; none of the other people they could send are anywhere near K/F's level.
