Liza's interview: http://fsrussia.ru/intervyu/445-liza-tuktamysheva-khochetsya-vosstanovit-trojnoj-aksel.html
She wants to restore a triple axel! She does make it with insurance. Liza: "...If I'll be in the mood for it I'll be able to make it. Maybe you will see me making this jump this season."

As long as she doesn't copy Alexei Urmanov's leg movements, I'm cool with this.I also loved that moment where she put her finger to her lips and winked. Eurosport kept showing close-ups of that in their highlights. Sort of a "plushenko moment" or rather a "Mishin's student moment". Playful and confident.![]()
Maybe that's why Yagudin left... he was too deadpan.

I loved that moment, too! I've replayed her LP so many times this weekend! Despite her 2nd place finish in SA, you can just tell that doing all those competitions before the Grand Prix season began was a good idea because she's broken them in so well; she's so confident doing them that she actually feels comfortable enough to do unrehearsed smiles in the program.
And I love her LP dress! What's all this nonsense about a bed sheet/moo-moo costume? She also has a really pretty textbook lutz and flip so what's not to love? She definitely moves into my #1 spot among the Russian ladies.

The bed sheet really does puzzle me.... what kind of bed sheets do people have? We've got nothing like that, that's for sure!![]()

Thank you. A wonderful, eye-opening interview. Liza sounds like a very tough, determined girl. This is a great interview, a must-read. Liza talks about many things including the disappointment of last season, her 3A, her costumes and how she never thought of leaving Mishin:

Some of her answers really moved me.
Very interesting point.ET: `Strict' is a wrong word here. Svetlana Mikhailovna was trying to get the result with the repetition. Sometimes brainless. Mishin teaches to think, to understand why are you doing this or that move.
I recall we were in Novogorsk skate camp and I landed a 3A3T combo.
I thought Midori Ito was the only woman who'd ever landed 3A-3T.:yay: I hope they make the World team together this season!EV: In one of the interviews you mentioned you have no friends on the ice.
ET: Actually I never said that and it was made a title. I was very upset. Thought it made me sound quite evil.
EV: But it's ok not having friends among your rivals. The reason I asked is because a year before the Olympics Yulia Lipnitskaya told me she was friends with you and admitted she wanted to make it to the team with you.
ET: It's so nice to hear! Indeed Yulia and I are in good terms.
Okay, happy about this for several reasons:EV: A very feminine question. This season you have 2 almost similar costumes. One is quite transparent, the other makes one think you are trying to hide behind it. Or to hide the childhood uncertainty when you were fighting with an extra weight.
ET: I was thinking changing that costume. You are not the first to mention it. Perhaps we'll have a new dress for the Nationals if there will be an opportunity.
EV: Do you have to make an effort to stay in shape now?
ET: All and all it's easier now - the worst of my puberty is over. I still have to watch what I eat, but it's not that hard anymore. I don't faint with hunger anymore.
