Elizaveta Tuktamysheva

:cheer: HAPPY BIRTHDAY LIZA!!!

Very nice video! I can only wonder what you have in store for her 18th.

Yes, I am not the biggest fan of Gary Moore solo, blues is not my cup of tea. But that's pretty cool that he is from your area.

If I am totally honest, before you wrote that reply, the only major thing I had planned was a change of my Golden Skate Avatar!

But, you started me thinking, and I realised I did really need to do something special, since it is a significant birthday.

So, here is a new video!

Last year I made a video using music from Irish band Thin Lizzy. Well, for this year’s video, I have used music by a band from my part of the island, Northern Ireland. This is the most famous song released by The Undertones, who are from a city 40 miles from me.

Since Liza has achieved so much since her last birthday, all the photos I have used in this video are from the past year. And you may notice that quite a few of them are from the past week...!!! ;)

Hope you enjoy

EDIT: Correction. After looking at this page, I have discovered that one of the photos I have used in my video is actually from the 2012/13 season. Oops!

Another interview:

"Russian figure skater Elizaveta Tuktamysheva told that meant to her victory in the Grand Prix Final.

- If you, for example, in the final Grand Prix won the bronze or silver, would have remained satisfied?

- I would be happy any place, provided that the program skated cleanly. Would not be upset if you suddenly lost to Lena Radionova gold medal if she flawlessly handled hire. But in general, the participation in the Grand Prix finals - a great joy for me. And when I took the first place, even surprised. Firstly, because the gap after the first day of competition was very small, and secondly, I did the first time purely skated the program this season.

- I can not believe that you were not important to beat those who recently called the hopes of Russian single skating.

- Of course, it is a joyous occasion. There was a belief that you can win. And I once again convinced of the truth of all skaters favorite phrases: main rival - yourself. If I make my program to the maximum, I can count on the highest places with whatever participating.

- During the preparation never you not fear that may not have enough technical resources to compete with younger rivals?

- Probably, my peace of mind and successful rentals consisted precisely in the fact that I have lost them in the past many times. So I no longer yearned for victory, knew that a rival I have a very strong, but because the main thing - to satisfy their own ambitions, to please their coaches, spectators. I now have a simple task - to take its place in the hearts of people to leave their mark.

Apparently, when I go to the start, did not thought about the competition. So already nasorevnovalas that now come out with no fear of being rivals bat, but with the fear of losing itself. Because I know what I'm doing all the elements. And it would be very disappointing to competitions not to show it, "- said in an interview Tuktamysheva" R-Sport. "

How appropriate.

@CaroLiza_fan

I was expecting a well thought out and perfectly worded marriage proposal to be honest ;)

I liked the video and for what it's worth Sam-Skwantch will always pull for Liza!! Happy b-day to to this seasons Jump Master General!!

Happy Birthday Liza! :hb:

It's great to see she's bounced back from her injury so well! Keep on skating strong!

So sorry I missed her birthday :hopelessness: But good luck at Russian Nationals! I hope you win it all :party2:

I mentioned something similar in the Radionova thread:

Anyone happen to see Liza's english video interview on CBC's GPF coverage this weekend? She didn't sound as eloquent as Elena's english interview, but still nice to see these girls can pick up english, among all the other demands in their lives.

Thanks for the interviews, I thoughth Eliza had less grammar issues than Elena haha.

Both are so cute! I wish them all the best for Nationals; clearly it's going to be a bloodbath there.

This popped up on Twitter...from a few years ago I think, but absolutely adorable:

:rofl:so cute!!!!

I love where Liza is standing now. Russia has been always very competitive to skate with the great talents. Young Russian skaters have to handle the pressure and sometimes face disappointing results. Liza has survived the drama and will reign again! GPF win was just the beginning of it.
