Oh, Liza... Never mind - we still believe in you!

I'm not so sure about the new dress, though - thoughts?

:cheer: Liza will always be my queen.

Candidly, I think the dress makes it look like her breast has been chopped off, or in the alternative like she has no nipple. It would be okay for me if she'd add something 'covering' that part of her anatomy, but without it it seems almost inappropriate to me and I'm generally no prude.

Much preferred the Test Skate costume fwiw.

Really a shame after landing a 3A in her run-through yesterday; it really comes down to timing with her, and longer she was hanging on the edge, the more I thought she heading for a fall.

Must be tough following skaters you know you can beat who are getting insanely (almost questionably) high scores.

I agree - I was just thinking that if they had some purple instead of all that flesh colour, it would look nicer, and also more dramatic.

I was getting worried by the end of her skate. Not sure what was going on with the jumps (she didn't seem that turn between the 3-3!) or the spins (they looked better during JO). But her attitude in the KnC did calm me a little. At least she didn't see to beat herself up too much. "Look, season's best. And not as bad as SC. Ah well."

As for the dress... I like the fit, style, and sparkles. But yeah... the illusion mesh needs to be altered. I don't mind some illusion mesh, but the whole of her left side is, ah, too much. Some purple sounds good.

But on the positive side, I did like the steps. And while the performance was marred by the mistakes, it was an improvement from SC.

I think I'd like that dress more if it had more glitters/sequins/embroidery on the front. Right now, it's very....distracting :noshake:

Bounce back strong tomorrow, Liza! :clapper:

I think Liza's new costume design is breaking the rule, but fortunately she was not penalized for that. It seems that she cannot handle the pressure from the 3A, but why not change the entire jump layout by replacing it with the combo 3LZ+3T in the latter part of the SP? She cannot do the 3LZ+3T now? Doubtless such messy skating can only hurt her self-confidence in future competitions. Not good to see Mishin looking so upset after the skate.

She didn't go for the 3A in the Skate Canada SP, though - and that was worse.

Can't Liza just do a 2A, 3F-3T, 3Lz until she comfortable with her 3A again. That would've put her right in front/behind Gracie, which is enough for her to try a 3A in the LP and still have the possibility to beat Gracie overall.

I know Mishin released a video of her doing a tano lutz-tano toe before Worlds last year.

Personally, I was always worried about putting the 3A in the short, especially after building a season's worth of consistent skates on the back of a more doable layout. With the field being what it is, it wouldn't be surprising to see her pull back up like in Canada. It's just a tough look at the moment.
