Elizaveta Tuktamysheva

Does anyone know what will be her next Competition? She said she had planned three competitions before GP. So she had Lombardia and Finland. Will she do another one before Canada?

I don't think it's new, I think it's the dress just without the white "blazer". She added gloves to it. I think it looks better without the blazer.

How do you guys think are her chances for placement at CoC? She will meet Zagitova, Radionova, Mihara..... at her currenct results she won't beat either of them except, maybe Radionova...

I have no idea. It so much depends on which Liza shows up. The worst of the inconsistency is that she is not capable of building momentum, so even her clean skates may not avail her as much as they otherwise might.

But as a fan, I do hope she shows up and skates the way I know she can, help build her confidence and show herself what she is capable of - and then she can build on that. And let the chips fall as they may.

as her fan, i wanna say im confident but i just. can't. zagitova is probably going to get gold unless mihara can overtake her. i think bronze would be a three-way battle between higuchi, honda, and daleman (although it should be taken into account that marin has back-to-back gps, and gabby is still recovering from surgery). radionova hasn't been the most consistent but somehow she was fourth rostelecom.

i know she can do it but inconsistency and lack of confidence are her biggest weaknesses. liza seemed to lack stamina at her panin memorial fs and i'm really nervous on how that would play out. hopefully she'll make it to the podium.

There are two problems she faces. One: consistency. Two: base value of her layout.

I think it is unlikely that Liza will medal but I do hope that by knowing she is an underdog in this competition, she will go out onto the ice without much pressure and just do her best.

That's my biggest worry too. Her PCS won't move upwards if she falls at every second competition. She will have to start from the beginning again at every competition she hits if it continues like that. And that would be the better scenario. Do you think her PCS for a hit program will go downwards as soon as the judges know that she is again inconsistent this season? Can they do that?

I don't think she sees herself as an underdog yet. 2015 is not that long ago, but you are right it would probably benefit her mentally. Maybe that's her whole plan! She realised, in the 2015/16 season that big pressure is not good for her, so she ***** up two/three seasons in a row, let the spotlight move away from her, just so that she can strike again out of the shadows. :laugh2:

Our Dark Queen - lurking in the shadows, ready to strike. I like it.:)

ETA - I was thinking what music accompaniment would be suitable for this, and... of course.:) Come on, Liza - Vanquish!

If not the competition, then your inner insecurities. We know you can do it - you should know it too.:)

Gosh, I hope that she does.

The arrangements from two steps from hell always make perfect program music. If I would be figure skating, I would always choose pieces from them :)

I read on FSU that Liza landed a clean 3A in practice in China, and that Mishin says she's going for it in competition too - as if I wasn't nervous already! (I'm always nervous for my Favourites - it has nothing to do with expecting bad things to happen; it's just... general anxiety). Now I feel positively... sick. (clutches tummy, looks queasy)

Not that I doubt Liza's ability to do it, if she is in the right mood, mind you - I just hope it won't mess with her head.

I'm fine with being a nervous wreck myself - so long as Liza herself isn't!

:ghug:, take care!

In my head, she's still a queenly DIVA slaying her material in WC 2015 and a senior GP debutante skating with so much energy and attitude back in 2011/12 season. She needs to be confident about herself and remember her worth, that she have so much goods to offer, that her feel of the music is fantastic. A lot changed in Ladies' scene since 2015, but I still have confidence in Liza and her skill, even if not consistent. Yes - if she's in the right mood, she's capable of greatness.

Oh, yes! Agree with every word you wrote - I feel the exact same way. I've loved her ever since I saw her at her first senior GP. That's why she'll always be my Queen.:)

Looks calm & confident. Now bring that calm & confidence to competition, Liza!

Note: The uploader is Artur Gachinsky? Is he there with Team Mishin? - in which case, cool.:)

It looks quite clean, however, its hard to see because of the quality. We'll have to wait until the competition to see if it's finally a stable jump for her. I hope so. I guess she will include it in the LP as it's more fatal to the scores if she messes it up in the SP?
