Elizaveta Tuktamysheva

Note: The uploader is Artur Gachinsky? Is he there with Team Mishin? - in which case, cool.:)

OT: i would like to see him as the next choreographer for Mishin students.

I read on FSU that Liza landed a clean 3A in practice in China, and that Mishin says she's going for it in competition too - as if I wasn't nervous already! (I'm always nervous for my Favourites - it has nothing to do with expecting bad things to happen; it's just... general anxiety). Now I feel positively... sick. (clutches tummy, looks queasy)

Not that I doubt Liza's ability to do it, if she is in the right mood, mind you - I just hope it won't mess with her head.

I'm fine with being a nervous wreck myself - so long as Liza herself isn't!

I think it's a smart strategy.

Especially doing this in China where she has always skated clean.

I just read, that Prokofieva was the Choreographer for both of Liza's Programs - althougt there is also Adam Solyas name at the FP (but crossed)...?

Mishin's MO is like this: outside choreographers do some work his skaters and then Prokofieva changes/modifies whatever Mishin wants in the program to his liking.

It doesn't really look like an official source, more like something fans compiled?

Anyway, in her ISU profile, Prokofieva is the only name listed but in the profile most recently posted on Rus Fed's official VK account, Prokofieva and Solya are listed as her choreographers. Since Prokofieva is the first name listed, I guess if one were to include only one name on a summary sheet, it would be hers.

Liza's new SP dress is actually cute. I hope they tailored it well enough to guard against wardrobe malfunctions though.

Edit:
67.10

She skated clean without 3A and it's not enough to put her on podium. With a deeper field she might be out of the final group. That is alarming!

Well, bring on the LP - and another new dress? Maybe it's a good thing that the 3A makes my fears for the dress pale in comparison.;)

Though I have to stick my fingers in my ears not to have those snobbish Swedish Eurosport commentators ruin my mood after her skate. Gripe, gripe, gripe! Thankfully the audience seemed to enjoy her performance.:)

It's not alarming, it's just the reality. 3T-3T is an obsolete combo in the upper ranks of womens skating now. The only thing keeping Liza within reach of a podium spot is her high GOE on clean jumps.
To be competitive, Liza needs either 3A in both programs or 3Lz-3T in both programs. She and Mishin know this. That's why he keeps talking about the 3A.

But Gabby did a 3T-3T combo too and she's leading the competition? Did she do more difficult jumps later on? I can pretty much only recognise an axel jump so maybe she did?

It was a great program by Liza though! The shoulder shimmies are everything! XD

Liza isn't a defending Worlds medalist anymore. Neither is she Canadian.

Her dress is finally a normal one!! It fits her style, but has enough glam in it for competition. I hope she keeps it forever and burns her previous ones.
Gabby got better GOE's on her jumps and all her spins are level four. I think her and Liza's Basic Difficulty Values are quite equal, but the GOE's and better level are responsible for the 3 Point difference.

Good news! Liza did her 3A!!! (There was a step out, but it was fully rotated!)

The bad news...she came 7th?! Like...I get that her PCS won't be the best, but she has by far the best jumps of anyone else there. Frankly I'm annoyed...why did she work so hard to get her 3A back when it seems pointless? May as well have worked on putting all the jumps in the second half.

Sigh, I'm really disappointed. On the upside, Mishin was adorable in the Kiss and Cry with his giant panda plushie.

It seems that my fears for the dress and the 3A were equally unfounded.:) There was a step-out, yes, but she didn't fall, and it was fully rotated - and what's more, she didn't let the rest of the program get away from her. That is a good sign for the future - hopefully this will just help her confidence to grow, and do even better at her next outing.

Her FP:

i'm also liking her new dresses (though i really really loved her finlandia trophy sp dress - it's a favourite - and i really like her all-black-everything from the previous seasons. even the moomoos. she looks stunning in black and contrary to popular opinion, most people don't).

mishin called her a hero after the lp. i was also super happy about the fully rotated trixel but not so happy with the judges' scores... i mean, as others have said, why even bother with the 3A? she's in great form though, very fit and skating the best we've seen from her since mid-2015. fingers crossed for making the russian oly team. and well, if not, good luck at worlds and maybe next year. once upon a time she came back and won EVERYTHING after pretty much everyone thought she was done for, after all. if anyone can do it, it's her again.

Congrats to Liza for two programs she can be proud of, and landing the 3A! Very nice dresses for both programs, too. I'd like to see her work on her speed and faster spins and sharper arm movements though. Good luck in your next competitions, Liza! You're a fighter.
