Odds are against her given her age, but she is a genetic marvel so if anyone can do it, it’s her.

Unrelated to the above, looks like she is a pioneer in the maxim cover girl for skates category. Liza has opened up opportunities for everyone else, since Medvedeva is a cover girl this year.

She has gone on record as saying that the cover and photo spread for them has increased her self esteem, and that she now accepts that she is, in fact, pretty.

Please! Kati Witt and Tanja Szewczenko were cover girls for men's magazines over 20 years ago! (Not sure if either of them were in that particular magazine, but each of them was the cover girl multiple times in another well-known men's magazine 👯‍♀️ ).

I should have worded it better. I meant she opened doors for the current crop.

I don’t believe Medvedeva does it if not for Liza going first.

Unlike some others, I think skaters like anyone have the right to support what they want (whithin the law of course) and not be persecuted for that, but using others without their consent like that is unacceptable.

Sasha Boikova wrote about that too that the skaters were protesting loudly before the show started (even called to Kogan about it), Misha Kolyada refused to skate.

Misha is taking part in Tutberidze's show today. He was entered in advance. That's probably a coincidence.

The show in Tula was partially a patriotic/political rally and the skaters did not know that. They realized that very shortly before the start, there was some quarrel about it, they even called to Kogan. They performed at the end, but from the pictures that appeared (and words posted by Liza or Aleksandra Boikova) it is obvious they were very angry about it and do not want to be connected with any political content.

Thanks a lot for the explanation .. I found the stream links in another part of the Forum and just watched the show .. in fast forward as I was actually only interested in recording Liza's parts. She really didn't seem happy and it was a so-so performance, it's all so sad, particularly when it seems that there is no end in sight for this absurd war ... wonder when I will be able to watch her again on an international competition :palmf:

I really like being here. The skating rink is amazing. The quality of the ice is very good. I appreciated it on the first day. Not all rinks have ice as good as the ice you have here, it's a big plus. It's a beautiful city, we had a great welcome. We walked around, the atmosphere here is very friendly, people are great. So I hope that this is not my last visit here, I really liked it here.

We're working. You have seen the results of the work on this jump today. Unfortunately, I have to leave now. I'm glad that I ended this training camp this way. I hope I don't lose this jump again, and I'll keep jumping it, working on it.
