Please!!! I just feel like there is so much more they could accomplish in skating now that they’re really coming into their own as a team. Nobody in pairs has programs quite as beautiful and intricate as they do. Please don’t go just yet!

I gotta think that Drew is on the look-out for a male partner for Ellie for the next Olympics. I can't imagine that Danny could physically endure 4 years but maybe one or two. Meanwhile find someone that Danny can mentor and give that pair a couple years before the next Olympics. It could be an existing pairs guy or maybe a singles skater. I'd be thrilled if Danny is the next Deanna and endures another 4 years.

Eric Radford continued competing to 37, and won a world bronze with Vanessa James at that age. It can be done at least that long, for a transition to another partner for her.

I’ve seen photos of Danny hiking and skating, so I’m guessing it’s Ellie who is injured? Has anyone heard?

Apparently Danny has an elbow injury. Considering how important lifts are in pairs (particularly for Kam’O) I can see why they chose to withdraw rather than risk aborted lifts or very dangerous falls. Hopefully he’ll be all healed up by SOI.
