Books I loved as a kid, and still love
Little House on the Prairie series
Anne of green gables series
Chalet School books
Green Knowe series (historical/fantasy) LM Boston
Mantlemass series (historical) B Willard
Charlotte's Web (hated Stuart Little, though!)
Little Women
Hester Burton's Historicals
Secret Garden\Little Princess
Books I loved as a kid, but can't stand now
Enid Blyton's mysteries (even as a kid I found the racism/sexism annoying- as an adult it's intolerable)
Nancy Drew/Hardy Boys (I can read some of the earlier editions- the more modern ones have really been "dumbed down")
Kid's Books I read as an adult and I love
Harry Potter
Susan Cooper's Over Sea under Stone and sequels
Madeline L'Engels books (especially Many Waters- a masterpiece!)
Earthsea Trilogy
Book other kids loved, but I never could get into (as a kid or an adult!)
Anything by Judy Blume (can't stand "issues" books)
Roald Dahl novels

The Berenstein Bears- This was one of my first influences of cartooning and creating a cartoon series of my own. 
Babysitter's Club- but I always thought they were sh---y.
Sweet Valley whatever whatever. I thought those were sh---y also! But I read them.
Goosebumps!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have about four Goosebumps book and I want those ones where you read at the bottom and you choose where to go and you have to turn the page. I never did get scared of the stories! *LOLZ* And plus I always thought they were sorta cheesy, even as a kid I thought that!!

- All the Beverly Cleary books for teens
I also ate up every Peanuts comic strip books I could get my hands on.
Has anyone seen the movie preview for The Polar Express? Wow, it looks incredible. I got goosebumps when I saw it yesterday.
