FD and Final Dance Results

Just wanted to point that it was a different CD in CZE (Paso Doble, a strong one for G/D as they also won the Paso Doble CD Final in Lake Placid). Starlight Waltz was the CD in RSA.
I think chuckm was well aware that it was a different CD
but it didn't suit his case that the Russians were up to no good
G/D in fact done very well( going in as the second usa team)
Hubbell should be worried:agree:

Seems unlikely. The team in last place in both events is the only one that did it right?

Plus this is an extra element. The last place team has 5 elements. All the other teams have 6 with the sixth being a zero pointer.

Looks like a programming error to me.

In the FD protocols of the Finland Trophy there are some Li+TRANS (for Anastasia PLATONOVA / Alexander GRACHEV, Penny COOMES / Nick BUCKLAND, Joanna BUDNER / Jan MOSCICKI)

Can someone explain just how the acronym Li+TRANS reads in long hand?

Lift + Transitions. In other words a lift which doesn't count for technical difficulty but enhances the choreography, so only the first lift counts in the TES. This is a new rule for dance this season and is optional.

Regarding Li+TRANS call, from ISU communication 1522:

* Note: A couple may choose to skate either one or two lifts but the first performed lift ONLY will be identified and considered in
determining the level of difficulty. Any type of lift may be used for the second lift and it may be performed without any requirements for the Level of difficulty provided that its duration is within permitted 6 seconds and it is not illegal. The second Lift will be considered by the Judges in marking the Choreography.

But that's for the OD right? if they talk about only two lift. Then what are the Li+TRANS in the FD?

It's for both OD and FD, I only quoted the section from the OD in my post. Here is the snip from the FD section of the same ISU communication:

LIFTS (SENIOR): FOUR (4) DIFFERENT TYPES OF LIFTS,*
ONE (1) of which may be chosen from the Long Lifts which must not exceed 12 seconds.
* Note: One additional Lift up to 6 seconds without any requirements for the Level is permitted (provided that it is not illegal), but only the first four performed Lifts will be identified and considered in determining the level of difficulty. This additional Lift will be considered by the judges in marking the Choreography. However, if a sixth Lift is performed, it will be considered by the Technical Panel as an Extra Element.
