Figure Skating in Australia

Even though anonymous judging is still here, I'm pleased that the ISA stood up and spoke against it by voting for it to be removed in ISU Championship Events and the Olympics.

You would not believe what Brooklee saw when she visited Dick Button's Ice Pond Farm

Congrats Brooklee for makingit to Skate America.

Brooklee is great. Happy she'll be here in the states and got a spot on GP. Such a good layback spin  She is a sentimental favorite of mine.

Actually, Brooklee is Australian, who happened to be raised in CT.

Come on, let's not start this crap again.

Can't we just be SUPEREXCITED that Brooklee got an assignment?!?!?!

Yeah someone finally gets it!! Brooklee is an Australian and if people followed what she has been doing, she is showing great pride towards her heritage! Congrats Brooklee!

I have no intention of opening up that farce whatsoever. Im also very excited!

Is this the first time an Aussie has been on the GP?

Yeah, Our last Grand Prix reps were Miriam Manzano, Joanne Carter and Anthony Liu.
Australian figure skating had a great period in the 90s.

It must also be said that in the 2010-2011 season Cheltzie was also scheduled to get a Grand Prix spot she wasn't able to take the assingment due to a broken leg.

Ariels Silver Medallist Dave Morris has his try at Ice Sports at Icehouse in Melbourne. If you go about 2 minutes in, you will see some clips of Dani and Greg do their dance spin and one of their FD lift (the hand stand lift). You will also see Dani teaching Dave basic steps in killian hold...very nice).
