By chance, do you mean the Aspire XP blade (from Jackson Ultima)? If it really is the Aspirational, do you know from which manufacturer (it could possibly be a house brand)?Yeah totally, do you think I should get this Aspirational blade for 15$ more? Or MK Flight that is already included. They say Aspirational is better but I have no idea of course

I think this Aspirational is by Risport so it is like a dedicated model just for electras that they say its a better MK Flight. Its confusing. Probably only coaches know about this. It is a bestseller in Warsaw from what I seeBy chance, do you mean the Aspire XP blade (from Jackson Ultima)? Just checking by Googling, there seems to be a lot of confusion between Aspire and Aspirational blades and who makes the second. Different boot companies and different skate shops variously assign the Aspirational blades' origins to Risport, Jackson, and a couple of other companies that I forget now. I suspect those advertising descriptions were written by people who were making assumptions based on the similarity of names.I think this Aspirational is by Risport so it is like a dedicated model just for electras that they say its a better MK Flight. I checked the Risport website directly. I think you should talk to your coach about getting the Electras and see for yourself what blades are attached to them.
Thank you! I saw the same thing on the Risport site, but didn't know about house brands. Sort of like some well-known doll artists in my collecting world, I guess. Newbies will write to the forum for Effner dolls and say "Is this an Effner or not?" and you have to explain that the artist made her own line, but also designed molds for other companies and the one they've bought is her sculpt but manufactured by the XYZ Toy company, and thus less expensive and in a larger edition. So I've learned something new about skate blades today.I checked the Risport website directly. In the listing under Electra, they state:
- Electra Light is available in a single blade set with the Aspirational blade.
One of the photos shows the blade that is clearly marked Aspirational and bears the Risport logo. So it is a Risport house brand. Edea has similar house brand blades (such as the Charme). I don't know for sure, but my guess is that these boot companies don't manufacture blades, but contract with blade manufacturers for house brands.
$15 for the blades? (Doubtful, considering the last pair of blades I bought were $925CAD which would be quite a large range in prices!) Or did they quote separate prices for the two kinds of blades and the Flights are $15 more? Or, most likely, $15 extra on the total price of the boot-and-blade set if you choose to have Flights attached instead of their basic Aspiration/Aspirational? Just curious. I don't know those blades at all, but it does sound like a good deal to get the MK blades from a long-established major manufacturer. I wouldn't want to swear they'd be better, though. See what the coach you found thinks.Well so MK Flights may be still better? Since they are from known company when it comes to blades. Risport is not known from doing blades XD, probably it is their only blade. Pretty weird. They just want 15$ for upgrade to this so it is sus.
My reading is that Electra boots + Aspirational blades costs $15 more than Electra boots + Flight blades.$15 for the blades? Yeah exactly. This offer is only with electra boots so seems like a best deal for only 15$ moreMy reading is that Electra boots + Aspirational blades costs $15 more than Electra boots + Flight blades.
Not necessarily. A well-known brand is not necessarily better than a house brand. It will depend on the specifications set by the seller and the contract manufacturer selected by the seller. [For some mass-market items, a well-known brand manufacturer can also serve as a contract manufacturer.] Rather a confusing marketing strategy in this instance, though. Typically (in general, not specifically ice skate blades) house brands cost less than well-known brands.;Well so MK Flights may be still better? Yeah exactly. Will such blades be enough for just single jumps though? I am not planning more for now so should be enough I think if MK professionals are for doubles from what I know. So I understand that MK Flight/aspirational is enough for singles if the boot is good : >Not necessarily. A well-known brand is not necessarily better than a house brand. The Risport website gives no details at all on the Aspirational blade. Their catalog typically provides additional information on their products. But it appears their catalog is under revision. When I click on the catalog button, I get a "Coming Soon" message.
So, follow @Diana Delafield 's advice and have your coach ask the retailer what the differences are. But for entry-level blades and only $15 price difference, don't overthink it.

I do not want to spend much but if it is necessary I will do it of course. Please help me choose future proof ones in which I can do single jumps. I will be very thankful!! <33
Wrong. You got advice from me in post #8 about what blades. I always give boot and blade advice in my posts and there are others here that have been around the sun here many times/years on these threads giving advice with me that will back that up. Go look at that post.Well I need to continue because I only got recomendation for boots, not blade. No one knows which blade I should choose. Those two types are the only ones available here and it is crucial as a beginner to start with good blade especially if 15$ price difference may have impact on my training.
Yeah you just decided to ignore when Minz tagged you. Also you need to understand that I gave you what boots are available in my country and still gave me options that are not here which I said many times. I had a question about choosing Mk Flight and Asiprational and you could simply now tell me a reply to that specific question instead of you talking about your post #8 in which there is nothing about blades that I am talking about. Stop arguing. This thread would last much shorter if I would get an answer about blades. Is it that weird that a beginner needs to ask questions and be confused? I just want to know which blades are better for me and you didnt answer that. I am saying once again, the only options here are:Wrong. You got advice from me in post #8 about what blades. And no, I'm not being mean or rude here. Just kindly stating facts.
And your questions have all been answered, if you go back and read the whole very long thread. Talk to the coach you said you found, who can see you and the skates in person. Rudeness to anyone taking the time here to reply tries their patience and tolerance for a beginner's confusion. Your new coach in your own city is in the best position to advise you. This 15$ is nothing now but may be crucial to my training dont you think?
