Love all the accentuations they added: the amplitude of upper body movements in and out of the spins, the way Gabby looks back at the judges at one point, arm details during moments of separation in the step sequences-adding intricacy, abandon and pathos.
Still think the changed last part of the straight line step sequence is a bit disjointed from the music, a little empty. And I wish the camera had stayed closer to them at many points. But wow Devine slo-mo replay.
Also, what happened to Gabby's knee?

I got up at 3:30 am to get the scores as they happened and watch the FD for Gabi and Guillaume and C/L and it was completely worth it. Unbelievably gorgeous. And the protocol! Perfect +3 GOE on five elements! Perfect 10.00s across the board for Performance! And all well-deserved, because it really was utterly sublime.
Dunno how Gabi came out of it with a bleeding knee, though...

That was amazing, holy moly, seriously !!! Scores aside, okay a WR is great, but the performance, the skating !
I never thought it could get any better, but it did! I am most impressed by how they are able to emote and express effusively while being focused on the technique and not losing it by one bit. That is very hard! Everything is on the edge and on the verge of bursting -- the emotion and the lean of their blades! Yet there are also these minute moments of silence and pause in between elements that are breathtaking.
