Gabriella Papadakis & Guillaume Cizeron

Anybody found a second guitar piece by Rachael Yagamata yet? I'll get to like 'Black Sheep', it's just so different from her other music. It's quite country style, and for me that's a bit 'anecdotal' compared to other musical styles.
“Second” guitar piece? Do we already know the first one? Is it really “Black Sheep”? Gosh, it’s a beautiful song and I love Rachael’s voice, but it’s so.darn.slow. Something I would listen to at night to help me fall asleep. Are you sure this is it? Or have I missed something?

No, we know nothing, unfortunately. I only found ONE song with guitar, but that doesn't mean it's one of the songs they use. There needs to be at least a second, and quite possibly a third or a fourth or a fifth. But from my quick look around her videos on YT, most of what I found was with piano and absolutely not what I would describe with the word "folk". Very beautiful music, and I can see GG on it immediately, but piano and not folk. So I assumed that since so little of her work is with guitar, and this song being very slow but also meaningful, it might be something GG would choose.
But I just wanted to know if we knew other guitar songs of RY.

There is also Be be your love https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QKz1DwKAQBw and Meet Me By The Water https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s6Sh8T-nxiQ

Maybe there is also Let Me Be Your Girl ....https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hOTR3iSu9OQ
So now we have 4. I would discard Let Me Be Your Girl, as the guitar is not so prominent and I don't find it 'folk' at all, but who am I to say that.
All other 3 are SLOOOOOW. And not really what I would describe as 'folk' again, but well, it's very possible that I don't understand the scope of that style. So if someone else finds more, please give the links!

What combi do we think they used? Be Be Your Love is also a cover, so maybe that's not part of their program either.
So, following my own logic and knowing only these 4 songs, I would have to go for Meet Me At The Water and Black Sheep. Bèèèèè...

Oh, ok, I see 😀 Well, we have lots of time to figure it out. I will be making a Spotify playlist of the possible options, I think! 😀

I know Alain would never tell us anything, but how about a tiny little clue? Like, is it rather slow or faster? From a rather recent record or an older one? Pleeeeease! 😉

Thanks. Max score is 91.52 according to Molina incidentally the controller at the Masters https://twitter.com/_David_Molina/status/1019514822256414722 and here is the protocols from yesterday http://www.csndg.org/resultats/Masters2018/MAST2018_SeniorsDanse_RD_Scores.pdf to be taken with a grain of salt (or many really) as it is a National Competition but it is a good start. I should look at the previous year to see if we can guess how many points to deduce from this to get an idea at what they're looking at. I would guess baring obvious mistakes they could start where they left off last year 82/83.In which case 5 points inflation sounds about right for those type of competition.

ETA: looking at last year Masters they received 80,54 with Christine Hurth as controller so it was quite in line with what they received in China. Anyway if I remember well prior to 2017 no international judges or controller were invited and it showed because in 2016 their score was on the ridiculous side, 84.30 :rolleye:, and we all know what happened that year with their SD. I think that is precisely why the Fed started to invite international judges for a more objective outlook. However, 88 sounds to high for a start.

Just look to this:

Please also note that the judge that awarded the highest score wasn't even French.

FFSG announced yesterday that the French Master’s will be available on replay tomorrow. I don’t have much hope in them broadcasting G/G SD, but I’ll still watch and see what will be available.

On the FB page?

Did they finally show P/C SD on the replay? There's no new comment regarding this matter, so I assume the answer is negative.

Well, so far, simply NOTHING has happened. No replay or link or any further info whatsoever on the FFSG fbpage...

OK. This is silly.

I apologize for the depth of nonsensicalness I have brought this thread to.
