Gabriella Papadakis & Guillaume Cizeron

Information for the fans

Jayne Torvill is attending the Grenoble GP to support Chris’s work for Gabriella & Guillaume. [emoji106]

Jayne is hoping that - if diaries and schedules permit - their dancing on ice show can have them back in the new year. [emoji7]

Exciting!!

Practice for G & G tomorrow from 14:10 to 14:50 (local time). I hope that the lucky ones who will be there will make us share this moment: impressions, atmosphere, costumes ... we want to know everything !!
And do not forget the universal saying: "a drawing is better than a long speech" ... so photos, videos ... do not hesitate and a big thank you in advance!

Oh dear, the timing for IdeF is so bad for me! Much as I love Gabi and Guillaume I'm not staying up until near on 3am two nights running to watch them via livestream, so I'm going to have to rely on YouTube first thing in the morning and then catching up with everyone here...

On the other hand, I'll have a wealth of riches on Youtube each morning. Gabi and Guillaume, Vanessa and Morgan, Laurine, Mae-Berenice, Kevin, couldn't be better!

Gaby just posted on her Instagram a picture of the Grenoble ice rink, they are in France !!!

Actually they haven't arrived in France yet, the pic of the ice rink was a repost from the Fed's Instagram. Gaby has just posted pics of Brussels airport, apparently they are stuck for another 6 hours there... Poor dears, I hope they are not too jet lagged and tired at tomorrow's practice.

The tension is rising, the impatience to see them is growing. The least information, the least detail take surprising proportions. I am now a spy ...
-> Gabriella's message on IS and approximate time of publication
-> Indication about the 6 hours of waiting (and the absence of mussels - French fried potatoes! Teasing of a typical Belgian dish)
-> Flight Search Brussels - Lyon Today.
-> Arrival in Lyon around 18h, around 20h in Grenoble (local time)
:giveup:Stop.
I go back to take my sedatives.:cheer2:

I'm not crazy overexcited, but I'm really really curious about what we're going to see from them.
And how their scores will be.

It's being reported in the competition forum that they've arrived in Grenoble, so that's good! I'll be keeping an eye out for practice reports later...

Gabi’s dress is really sexy, even if pretty typical and not very original. Guillaume though... Please lose the shirt!

LOL, even though tights are allowed for men now I don't think the ISU will go so far as permitting shirtlessness!

Oh, man, this looks so good! I love the introductory choreo, the risky twizzles, the lift, the sheer amount of time they spend in hold! Only the ending pose is looking a little awkward...

What speed in the movements and the sequences, while keeping poise, cohesion, grace, facility, softness. Bluffing!
Take me away a doubt, it's really the Tango this year (until then I did not notice too much ...:slink:)

Dramatic and intense, but not forceful or overacted.
Sharp and faster than usual, but not rushed.
The end of every movement is soft like a feather.

Now I really can't wait to see how this is judged. I hope they don't get lower scores because their lifts are simple.

Here is another photo, and those edges :eeking:

Guillaume's posture and extension through his spine, the best in the business and so relevant to tango posture. Their non touching look really great and full of intricate details. Many many tango holds and leg movements. I think only Weaver/Poje have that much tango feel in their RD as well as Sinitsina/Katsalapov. They were shaky on the twizzles but that has happened before during practice so I hope they'll be fine. Can't be easy to come back to competition after such a prolonged break but they also have experienced that before after way more traumatic event (Gaby's concussion) than this.

Had a look on the panel of judges...my coach is the referee....she loves P/C. Has been monitoring them for nearly 8 years now..so great :-)))
