Nothing to worry about, on the contrary, it's excellent for them. :) They'll get to be against Olympic champions, who have only praised them before. I'm sure it will have a positive effect on them, there'll be a lot to see. It works the other way around too, I'm pretty sure Virtue Moir will like being against them. It's gonna be a great "battle". :)

Better early in the season, that way they can size each other and adjust before GPF (if they are both going that is) and more importantly Worlds. Still, I'm not sure I'll stand the stress though :hpull:

I'm little disappointed, i expect to see their programs early - really miss them and this off season is so long without any info:con3:Аnd could somebody tell me, is it possible only with participation in two competition for P/Cto go to GPF? Because most of the couples will compete in 3 GPS?

I'm not a pro concerning the Grand Prix circuit but all skaters have maximum 2 assignments here is the link for ice dance only (if you want to check for the other disciplines I can give you the links) http://static.isu.org/media/1004/gp_dance.pdf
You can see that top tier teams have 2 spots and lower rank teams have usually only one spot. Now, there is also the B competitions which happen before the Grand prix circuit start where skaters can test their programs but this doesn't affect their selection to the GPF in Marseilles. For instance, P/C participated in 2014 in Autumn classic Canada (B senior competition) then went on to Cup of China and to TEB both Grand prix competitions. As they finished 1st in both, they qualified for GPF 2014 where they finished 3rd. Last year they couldn't enter the GP circuit.
This year, it's Trophée de France and NHK where they will have to finish at least 1st or 2nd in both (or maybe 1st and 3rd could work, not sure) to qualify to the GPF. I'm curious to see if they will enter any kind of B competitions to test out their programs though. In which case, we won't have to wait till Trophée de France.

I would love to see them at the cup of Nice just after the masters in october... That's what they wanted to do the last year...

Thank you so much cocotaffy:) for the explanation. I will hope everything with P/C to be ok, to show us their new masterpieces and to have chance to qualify to GPF and of course to see them before Tropfee de France.

Maybe they will do Autumn Classic this year... it is near Montreal.... or maybe V/M will do it since they are just returning....

I found a youtube channel where the poster uploaded a bunch of short warm-up/run through videos shot at Boston. He /she was sitting very close to the ring so it's nice and seeing the number of videos on Guillaume and Gaby, he/she must have been a fan.

It's also nice to compare the other top teams and you notice how fast Guillaume and Gaby skate. And their free leg extension in the 1st waltz pass is the best. Gaby's can raise her leg so high :eeking: I thought W/P were better at this but no.

I'm glad you found my videos! I was going to post links on the individual fan threads, but then I got lazy. :o:

I am a she, and I am a fan! It was a privilege to see them live! :hap57:

Wow, thanks a lot then, I hope you don't mind I spread your links around (and on FSU too  while I was at it), I hadn't notice your name on GS. Great little videos, I was looking for a while some videos of their FD run-through. Do you have anymore ? What did you think of the ice dance field as a whole ? Were you surprised or disappointed by some teams once you saw them live ? You were sitting really close, such a treat.

Their success is strange. As the british commentator said we never see a couple come from nowhere (13 th and 15 th) win after be 4th after the SD. They were also surprise than us.
This season 2015/2016, who thought they can win after the concusion, and no competition in november ?
Not me
And after what we see in French Championship ? Not me.
The next season, I hope it will be a normal season, no unjury and with great competitor.

Don't forget, Gaby said she always suffer during travel in plane because of concusion. A lot of travel affect her. So they must take this point before to do their planning.

Omg
thanks for the videos here

we see all their softness, it's incredible

I have already notice that during the waltz their 3 leg extension (1 min 20) are higher than others.
I never skate so I don't know : I suppose it's not difficult to make this leg high extension (it's just lift one leg;). Maybe the other couple have chosen to not make it because we don't have bonus point for that
