I'm sure some of them will be able to tell us how this SD is the same style as their last year's SD.Lol yes the video quality was terrible. We could see it was a great SD, but not possible to enjoy it fully.French Masters 2016 - SD
Just like said English commentator last world FD in Boston... "It's glorious to Watch"
(Yes, there's a lot potential progress in the video quality :reye

thank you yuleto for the link.
i was worried about the music but it's fine, i love the second part of the program the music is superb. there is so many things that i love but if i had to name just one it would be guillaume solo spin ( at 3:42)
the way they move it's everything!
what a relief!
I found a video from today FD https://www.facebook.com/gabriellaguillaumefan/?fref=ts It's with really bad quality, but this DANCE- I LOVE it![]()
She's very right. There're skaters I love, others I can't stand but I'm not going to insult or anything likey on their skating videos or on their SN accounts. I don't know if it's same for you guys, but I see that more often in ID than in other skating disciplines. Always the same trolls saying "They're not innovative" "Corruption!" "Favoritism!"... those people have no idea what they're talking about, so they just spit around because their fav don't get rewarded the way they think they should be. Really shameful.:noshake:

I don't care for the haters as well. Only hypocrits, the lot of them, lol! After seeing Gaby's post on Instagram, I went on Ytb to see what was going on and seriously I was shocked by the violence in some comments. And saying their FD is not innovative is just :noshake: '(except maybe the second part). People saying they did the same routine for the last 3 years just don't know what they are talking about. Of course each skater has his "mark", his "style", but there's nothing common between their last 3 FD except their skating, their personnality, their natural body movement...
I don't have words any more. I think I will just keep enjoying them without caring for the haters.
PS: Plumededragon, your avatar change disturbs me lol![]()

Well, I did keep the other one from the start until yesterday, lol! From the interview I read, it was Guillaume who found this 16 minutes piece of music from this amazing cuban pianist. The coaches were a bit surprised and were not sure what to do. I think it's amazing, I listen to the whole piece on YT and frankly I wish they would have gone further and used only this piece for the whole FD. That could have been so different. I think they manage to interpret it really well even though it's tough and as I say I even prefer it than the 2nd more accessible part. But you're right, we need to let it evolve and also we need better image quality which are usually top notch at the GP de France with gorgeous close-ups. They have a great set of programs again this year Their SD is a winner for sure, so precise technically, they improved a lot on that exercise even though they did not care for it as much as the FD.I was quite surprised to read some negative comments for the very first presentation of Gabriella and Guillaume's programs. Except for those who discovered ice dance this week end (!), we all know their programs are obviously at an experimental stage at this time of the season. How could it be otherwise? In Montréal, I told Gabriella and Guillaume I would probably not attend the French Masters but I will be in Paris for the French Grand-Prix. Gabriella just replied their programs would be for sure much more mature in Paris. Years after years, their programs become more and more complex and several months (with a big S) are required to fine tune both SD and FD to be ready for the ultimate competitions, namely Europeans and Worlds.
I must admit I am unable to really get a clear opinion of any programs without watching them at least 20 times (and with good camera work and video quality). I know I will have a much better feeling at the Grand-Prix de France. Well, I will watch them live in Paris Bercy.
Regarding the music choice of their FD (I mean the first part of their FD), I discovered it in Montréal but never talked about it as Gabriella and Guillaume wanted to keep it somehow secret until the Masters. As I told them, I think Marie-France should tell us more about it as this is clearly a choice of the coaches. What's the point to skate on such dissonant music? One must admit it's really challenging and risky to dance on such weird piano music with so many silences. Now there are different types of dissonant music. Why not dancing on a masterpiece of Béla Bartók instead? Marie-France or Romain, we understand you want to create something special on the ice hence share with us what you have in mind.
