In the last Patinage Magazine, Romain talked about the music choice. According to his words, they've got the theme "Clair de Lune" in mind for three years. But this summer Guillaume showed up with Clair de Lune from Debussy and they finally decide to pick up Beethoven's one.

Okay I'm so happy they went with MS instead. I love Clair de Lune ! But I think MS suits them better, it's more dramatic and powerful and they do chaos very well. Also, they "need" to show power/fast movements too, and since Clair de Lune is a much more calm piece of music, it could have been more difficult to portray maybe.
Thank you Camille ! Is there any piece of information/precisions about that ? Or about anything else ?

Totally agree, especially for the Olympic season - you want some oomph that CdL, however gorgeous, doesn't really do. But now that we know that Clair de Lune was a possibility, I really hope they use it in the future because it could be so beautiful!

Hi ! I don't know if you read Patinage Magazine ? But for each edition, they ask some skaters a ten songs playlist. Most of time it's what they listened at that period or some iconic songs. As a major part of those songs are very new, I think it's their "what I listen now" playlist

So how high to the max scores do we all think P/C will go this week? Must admit that I'm in absolute bliss mode, as the judges are finally doing their jobs and the way to gold is pretty clear for P/C. That FD is iconic, and the SD will outscore that mess of a whatever SD V/M produced this weekend. Then it will be WRs all the way to the Olympics. V/M's FD won't outscore P/C's FD (as seen by the judging at NHK), so it will be much like Worlds last year, but in reverse. Last year was painful for sure, but it sure is worth it now!! Allez!!!
