I will repeat it again and again: propaganda is an immense power. People fall for it time after time after time. It is as if the narrative has become more real than reality and facts. That's what 100 years of total immersion in propaganda on a daily basis does...Ok guys sorry if I'm being a bit thick here but I thought the panel and judges were different between the team and the individual event. Checking the ISU results sheets and the technical panel are identical for both. Seeing how strict they were today, I'm getting nervous. Plus I found everyone skated a bit nervous and tentative but they had the opportunity to shake it off now. P/C will come fresher but I hope they'll be able to keep nerves under wraps. Also about the rink's size. It does look a tad smaller. V/M usually don't come that close to the boards at the end of the pattern so P/C who usually are really close to it ... I hope they'll take notice.
Again, it's me being my nervous self. I wish I could be as positive as a ray of sunshine like you too Gotlev and All thatAt least, it's relaxing and moral boosting to read you both.
If we look at the facts, we see that over the whole past half season, the commentators and 'pundits' have elevated V/M and imbibed us with the notion that either they will win the gold, or else (because their first statement is proven more wrong with every competition) "it's going to be sooooo close".
Exactly this was said just now by our dear commentators at BESP. "It's going to be soooo close."
Well, the facts show otherwise. It was going to be so close at the GPF also, and then reality showed that it wasn't. GabGui got several points more than TesScott, it wasn't close at all.
V/M now in this team event got exactly the same kind of score as the GPF, and we will see it being repeated in the individual event, (maybe boosted a bit by GOEs and PCSs). And GabGui will, just as in the GPF, get several points more than V/M. Because that is how the judges place these two couples and their programs this year. In spite of all the punditry boosting and elevating of V/M.
So I'm sorry, but my confidence and prediction is not based on wishful thinking or propaganda, but simply on what we can see with our own eyes and what actually has happened in the past months.
Add the fact that GabGui are currently even improving and adding to their programs, and you must be very illogical to predict that TesScott will get the gold.
The "but V/M are sooo much more experienced" argument is another fact-free smoke screen that doesn't buy you anything with the judges. GabGui have shown in every competition this year that they are in a great state of mind, and that they are on top of their nerves. In such a situation, it is this argument that reveals the wishful thinking not based in reality.
At least, it's relaxing and moral boosting to read you both.

you can be sure that there will be people raging anyway whatever the outcome is. Enjoy the performances instead and ignore all of that (for now)
