I'm amazed how relaxed they are about arriving early and getting used to the conditions. Is this their usual arrival time for a GP event?

For Grand Prix they usually arrived on Monday while the event start most of the time on Friday (it’s based in fact on ISU rules about hotel and meals stuffs). So it’s not so different than a GF event.

They're currently on their way to Seoul. They will arrived around 3:30pm on the 14.02 (Corean time). So no practice for them tomorrow, but they will be fresh and maybe well-rested for practice on 15.02.

I like their approach of focusing on their art. Interesting insights from MFD and Patch about how far they can push them and nice to hear Patch aka the skating skills expert stating they have the best glide in the world right now.

Hey, I noticed that the woman who is doing the mental coach for them is not with them in Montreal but is in PyongChang. I saw her with Dubreuil and Lauzon in the public after James/Ciprès short dance performance. I mean, isn't she Papadakis/Cizeron's personal mental coach???!!!

No, Steffany Hanlen doesn't coach only PapCiz - she also works with Hubbell/Donohue (and maybe some other Gadbois teams, as Olivia Smart's mentioned working with her as well). Keep in mind that Hanlen was first a mental coach to Dubreuil herself, and M-F has recently stated how mentally challenging OG will be for her - wouldn't be surprising if Hanlen was also there to keep Dubreuil in good spirits.

Yes, but how much would you have to pay a coach to coach you alone? For me the root for confidence for Gabi and Guillaume is by concentrating on the artistic side of performance. Everything else is carefully considered can be subsumed within that- the technical side such as having the edges and getting the levels, the competitive side, the actual performance of the piece in front of judges and a crowd. So I'm sure between themselves Romain and Catherine Pinard there is a considerable team able to ready for them in competition; and that she'll be able to check in with them when they get to Os. Also, sometimes as a mental coach, you must have to leave those you coach in order to see that they have the independence and confidence you want them to have independent of your actual coaching. Plus, you know, Skype.......lol

Well, it's quite clear. If that mental coach coaches H/D and P/C, it means that D/L give the mental coach to H/D. We know D/L are behind V/M and H/D. And when the mental coach was with P/C at all these competitions, does this meant D/L were doing a disservice to H/D ?
Relax, it's normal, you don't have to worry. Absolutely everything is planned, nothing is due to chance this time. D/L are not behind V/M or H/D compared to P/C. Simple reason : why would they do so well ? Why would they look, sound and be so happy if it was the case ?
I'm with MelDee and I do not do conspiracy theories. Especially when this is not the case. It's all good

Apparently, the mental coaching side is important for them. Did you see all the staff V/M have for themselves in the documentary? You can't say they are treated equal as P/C.

VM’s off ice staff is provided by B2ten, a Canadian organization designed to provide support to Canadian Olympians. It’s separate from D/L, though D/L work with them. There’s no conspiracy here.

Besides, VM need the mental help because they are the second after P/C this season. What exactly do PC have to be worried about? They have the best programs, the best skating skills, the world record scores....I wouldn’t be surprised if PC told the mental coach to help H/D cause they need more help than PC.
