Gabriella Papadakis & Guillaume Cizeron

Gaby mentioned the air and make up crew easing her job so if DG really wants them to sell themselves more, I propose he starts with granting Gaby her wish and have such a crew follow her to the competition, this plus a special tailor to adjust those costumes :p

If you look closely in the video during the after performance interview, there are these three rows of braids on her hair which really look nice along with the ponytail.

Love them all!!!!

That Ed Sheeran routine on @dancingonice was absolutely out of this world. @WeAreSTV #DancingOnIc
The Olympians make all this years celebs look like Todd Carty.
#DancingOnIce That couple would have won the Olympic Gold if her dress hadn't 'malfunctioned' ..... they are fantastic!!
Wow! The Olympian skaters were brilliant 😀. #DancingOnIce
Holy **** how good looking is that male dancer:biggrin:

Little video shot in their region, after the gala: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-TF5uK35qN8
Asked about the medal, Gaby acknowledges they were coming for gold but they realized being their first Games it was more than just the medal. The whole collective experience really made an impression on them. The individual competition was not so different than any other regular competition. The cohesion of the French team was special though.
Coming back to their native region: they always enjoy it because they can share with people who supported them during the games but also since their beginning and they can enjoy a bit of family time.

Side Note: I love the shot of that little kid going wowwwwwwww, very cute.

I found this more complete recording of their Dancing on Ice performance posted on YouTube. It has the beginning segment that was cut off from that video. It also includes their brief interview and Christopher Dean's comment after.

Thanks for this, and thanks for the first version too MelDee! They did a gorgeous job there, and I loved how well the SD adapted to an exhibition format with spins and lifts substituting for elements there was no room for. If I was Christopher Dean I'd be very proud of them too.

I love how he said, when asked about choreographing their program, that he basically got them started - they've clearly done a ton of stuff on top of his original work with them since then. But that's what makes them so good!

Ah their Olympic SD really could have been a huge hit with the Ed Sheeran music choice. Sad that it's been clouded by the dressgate and mostly been pulled from everywhere.

Their mere presence on the ice was like nobody else mattered to anyone including commentators and above all, I felt sorry for all the other canadian teams. Sure they have charisma by the gallons and they're great skaters but the atmosphere around their presence is just not enjoyable, not because of them of course, but because of all the circus which comes with them: the fans, the bias canadian commentators, the will they/won't they nonsense, the endless fairy tale story of how they started so young, all that fake entertainment and forced narrative which take away from the real competition and real skating. As a result, even if I can recognize their immense qualities, I cannot enjoy their performance anymore.

i agree with everything you wrote above except that now after living through the return of V/M and all the very noxious atmosphere surrounding them, I'm not sure they are not, if not responsible of all that circus, at the very least accomplice to a certain extent of it. It does help and serve them very well in the end and Moir has always been vocal about all the "injustice" they V/M were victims of. Even in victory he is complaining against the judging. I've never heard them trying to tone down the nastiness/craziness of their fans.

Again, what they said after the Sochi games really showed their true color. It's one thing to have self-belief, quite another to believe you shouldn't ever be beaten.

Also I really dislike the Scott Moir hogging the microphone and Tessa smiling pleasantly while listening thing. Are they a married couple from the 1950s?

That person makes me laugh. When he loses, he blaims everything around him, when he wins, he is so full of himself and every time he can , he repeats how he deserved it. He is not convinced? Dont blame those people who are callin themselves "fans". They are just like him. He agress with them If they would be in P/C shoes I dont know what they could do. Never ending insinuations
