On the other hand, it could be that the judges will prefer to begin reining in their advance in view of setting the stage for a tenser run-up to 2022. And they already had 11 points on the second couple at World: how much further can they separate themselves?

About 15 - 20 points wouldn't hurt :)

Tonight's edition of Tout le sport with a short interview and some bits and pieces of the free dance. The section about P/C starts around min. 9, vpn needed, of course.
Oohhhh this is sooooooo good. I'm too excited for tonight. You can just feel that this is them at their top level again. This is going to be SUBLIME. Yayayayayayayayayayay I can't wait, this is sooooooooooo great!!!!

All black costumes for this season again? :scratch2: I'd rather see some colour, but I guess they might be going neon in the RD...

I'll bet this isn't their costume either. Love some of the new moves and that lift where she's wrapped around his neck. Didn't fall head over heels with it though. It needs time to grow. I guess I expected more slam.

I expected the spoken words to be broken up more. But the music choice definitely sets them apart from all the conventional programs.

Wow, that was definitely something. I think it will take me a little time to sort out my feelings about this program. One thing I will say is that it definitely was a lot more practiced than the RD — you can tell they finished it first. I love how the crescendo builds, not in a continuous way, but in short bursts that slowly add up to a whole. Like last year's program, their vocabulary of movement is so varied, but also very cohesively put together to fit the theme. One thing I don't like is the clumsy way they had to shove a beat in the background at certain parts.

One thing is for sure, though, and that is how I don't see any other team in the world doing a program like this.

I don't know what to say... I should be screaming and shouting, but I'm so tired that I'm falling asleep where I sit. It was way more ready than the RD, and I'm certain it will be brilliant. It probably already was. I just can't say, I don't really know why. I'm super happy to have seen it, am waiting to see it again. I'm also a bit disappointed with the black costumes, even though I like Gaby's outfit.
I love all those movements. Just love them. So great to see them do that. I want to see it again, to understand and listen more.

I like that a lot. Still sorting my feelings overall, but it really gripped me and I can already see partway how they built from last year's FD to this. And the attention to detail is superb. Five weeks' more polish and I think it will be startling.

They did get a deduction on their protocol, for a costume/prop violation. I think Gabi wasn't wearing enough of a skirt. In fact, I don't think she even had a Skirt in Name Only, and skirts are still required in the FD. So there will be a change to the costumes before IdeF, in one way at least...

wow- i am just mesmerized. the quality of their movements is ridiculously good. I love the one foot sequence so much. the core steps, the lifts are so good. for me they reached even a higher level in "hiding"the elements in the choreography (didn't think it is possible). emotionally it took me in a complete turnmoil (if it is the right word). it will grow and I am certain it will become a milestone in their career.

Too much voiceovers. There was more speech than actual music. Kinda disappointing because they are perfectly capable of expressing complex music. All that beautiful finely detailed choreo just to someone talking.

Love the Ina bauer into the stationary lift. Enjoyed the opening and ending. Opening with a rotational lift to that atmospheric music was quite refreshing and effective.(And the second element is the choreo steps?) Ending pose was very poetic.

Hey, you falling out of the sky?
We know this since yesterday, and that's the whole point: this is innovation! Hah, the horrible word! It means change. It's painful and scary, yes! But that's how life moves on!
Let's be eternally thankful that this time around they become world champions with it, while the Duchesnay's were beaten up by some judges for their groundbreaking breathtaking programs. At least some good came from change!
