:love:Joubert's tap dance .
It really requires lots of strnght.
Love love love his steps!
:p

Next, Mao. This is really her night. I think she is getting better everytime she skates. Love her hair and she smiled! I rarely see her smile during real competition.
Hope she could fix her lutz next year.

V/M: Great skating, but the music is rather unmemorable. They could do so much better, IMHO!

S/S: Very innovative program, superb lifts, but a bit zzz music.

Mao: Amazing as always! Too bad it looked like she got blinded by a jupiter on 3F and stumbled/fell. Gorgeous after that, though - amazing speed.

D/S: Nice costumes!

Buttle was on fire!!!

The finale - pianino zamboni!!! I have no words! :D

Ugh - my feed froze right on Mao and Jeff's encores. :(

Even going that fast, they run out of music. Good thing the crowd is so supportive!!

I've been sayin this throughout the men comp, the camera does love Johnny!

The last move was impressive, I thought they were going to crash one another. Good thing they have the synchro team to guide them

This is so fun!

K/N splatted on a lift durinf the finale. :D

Synchro was so fun. Jeff looked like he had the time of his life.

Mao - absolutely gorgeous spins during the finale, classic sit into scratch... Why does she not do them in competetive programs..? Not difficult enough for CoP..? :(

I think Daisuke nailed a quad!

i enjoyed johnny's and jeffery's exhibitions the most.
ave maria for johnny and i pagliacci for jeffrey..........
they really had me holding my breath....... BEAUTIFUL!!!!

Thx, all the skaters for great performances!!

Can you believe it that it's officially the end of the season and we have almost 7 months to go until next one?? Time to get back with my life!!

Good performances, but too many programs with zzzzzz music IMO. Hopefully there were Belbin/Agosto to spice the afternoon a little bit. Ben Agosto is so funny. At the end of the gala he did a funny move, it made me laugh . And Khokhlova/Novitski sitting on the ice in the finale was funny too .

Even the zzziest music can't be a bad choice when the skater clearly loves it. Just look at Yu-Na skate to a pop song a 17 year old girl probably would love.

I didn't say it is a bad choice to choose zzzz music. IMO there were too many skaters today that skated to zzzz music. It would have been good if 2 or 4 more skaters put something more lively.
I enjoyed the exhibition, but it lacked in variety.

Didn't like Yu-na's exhibition song at all. Don't like Mandy Moore and the movie, A Walk to Remember, had more corn in it than the state of Iowa.

BUT, I loooooove Yu-na's new dress and Eurosport Commentator is correct in saying all the skating girls out there should learn from Yu-na's arm movements.

Mao's program:

Chris (or was it Nicky?) said that he could watch Mao all night... and I certainly agree with that.

According to helen91 from Mao Forum, on CBC they said that Mao considered withdrawing because her leg was still sore after the fall in the LP... :( However, she decided to perform anyway and attempted 6 jumps in her Exhibition number. Talk about competetive spirit!

Yu-Na's new exhibition number:

She's one and only and the Eurosport commentator has an eye for that.

PS: Yu-Na said in the interview that she originally planned a triple salchow and two double axels. (A triple lutz was opted out due to her injury). She felt pain in the middle of her performance though. So she changed her plan and did another double axel and ended up executing three double axels. She added (with a smile) that she is capable of nailing a double axel even in pain.

What a beautiful gala. Yu-Na looks stunning in her exhibition costume. I wish she would of used this outfit in the short. I didn't like the music, but choreography and presentation is breathtaking. I think one of my all time favorite Yu-Na gala no. (& exhibition no. period) is the one she used for her junior worlds that she skated to w/the music of "Ben" by Michael Jackson.

D/S: Nice costumes!

hahahaha lets just call it multipurpose

delobel and schoenfelder even did their masquerade thing...weird...
they did all their "signature" stuff and my favorite - laying down move.
anyone know the name?
