Hello fellow figure skating fans,

My name is Thea and I come from a poorer European country, which is Romania. Maybe many haven't heard about this country, it's famous for Dracula, good gymnasts (Nadia Comaneci) and the dictator Nicolae Ceausescu.

I've been watching figure skating since I was 8 years old, back when Surya Bonaly, Elvis Stojko, Nancy Kerrigan and Philippe Candeloro were competing. I remember we had a very small black and white tv set where the commentator also described the color of the outfits :-)

So, one of my biggest dreams was to see figure skating live. My salary is only 400 euros a month, but this year I bought a plane ticket to Milan, booked accomodation and bought come c section bronze tickets (the only ones I coukd afford were men's and pairs for which I paid 120 euros....the cheapest I could get).

I am also a huge Yuzuru Hanyu fan...and I cried when I heard he has withdrawn, I really wanted to see him and Javi compete....Then, many fans from the States, New Zealand and Asia decided to cancel their trip to the Worlds because of Yuzu's withdrawal. They sold their gold and platinum tickets at very cheap prices, thus I got the chance to buy great seats to see the competition. I'll even get to seat at the Vip with a dedicated hostess, food, wine and all that stuff.

This message is A BIG THANK YOU from the bottom of my very happy heart to the wonderful people who made this happen : Narcissa, Lilla and Alice. I'll never forget this act of kindness! You made my dream come true and I can't thank you enough. Even if you are on the othervside of the world I still give you a huuuge virtual hug!

I would also like to thank all the admins of Goldenskate forum for facilitating such great communication between fans. This is a really great way to get in touch with fellow fans from all over the world!

Please excuse my VERY CORNY message...I know I'm making a fool of myself, but I am really happy and greatful...what for some ppl is maybe not such a big deal, for others it makes a huge difference.

Thank you again, you really made my day !
