In conjunction with the article they wrote here on Golden Skate, The Blade Boys have recently uploaded videos re the TEB cancellation.

(1) TBB interview in English with Didier Gailhuguet
Published on Nov 14, 2015
French figure skating federation president Didier Gailhuguet comments on the Paris Attacks, cancellation of the Trophee Eric Bompard and the camaraderie he has observed between athletes, coaches, officials and judges.

This video made me cry. Worthy of a thread in The Edge, IMO.

(2) This video captured Didier's announcement (in English) of the cancellation itself as well as lot of other good content:

Published on Nov 15, 2015
Didier Gailhaguet informs skaters, coaches, officials and press that at the order of the Government of France, the Trophee Eric Bompard will be cancelled at Patinoire Meriadeck in Bordeaux, France. Comments follow by Peter Krick of the ISU and Eric Bompard as well as a moment of silence and singing of the French national anthem.
At 11:23, TBB interview in English with French skaters Maé Bérénice Meité and Morgan Ciprès.

(3) TBB interview in English with Vanessa James

Published on Nov 14, 2015
French pair skater Vanessa James kindly comments on the Paris Attacks, cancellation of the Trophee Eric Bompard and the outpouring of support from her competitors.

Wow. This one made me cry too. Vanessa is both emotional and eloquent. Hugs to her and to all of Team France.

Thanks as always to The Blade Boys.

Moved me to tears. One can feel the apprehension and dread of the skaters and officials who will be returning to their homes. We can't even imagine not feeling safe in our homes here in Canada. My heart goes out to all the skaters and their families at this time. Vive la France !

Thanks to GS and TBB for bringing these videos to us, very moving. After seeing the French skaters' reactions, cancelling the event made sense.

Thank you so much to golden for putting this post together, and sharing the links - and thank you so much to the BladeBoys for the article and interviews.

It's heartbreaking, and I hope all will be safe.

Can people please centralize any tweets Facebook pages etc from all the skaters at Teb esp the American team. If there are tweets from Russians or Japanese etc please intl member please translate. I am sure all of these athletes have Twitter or Facebook for their fans. There are different threads in different areas dealing with the attacks or the politics ramifications. Also the debate about how to deal with this scoring wise. And fan fest postings.

Is there any way we can centralize all the tweets etc here so we can hear what the skaters have said about the incident and the cancellation plus what is fair. The threads have been moved around or whatever.

I cannot keep up nor do I have time to search but there should be one place where we can read what skaters coaches event coordinators are saying.

If we have that somewhere can you direct me? I'd like to hear what they are all saying about cancellation and what they want to see happen. Not til Tuesday I think will the Isu tell us what will happen re TEB scoring and the series.

And thx to gsk8 :) for giving content from The Blade Boys a good home here on GS.

Great reportage from The Blade Boys to document everything that transpired at Didier's announcement -- and to get these heartfelt interviews.

I didn't mention it above, but also touching that Morgan Cipres literally had no words ... couldn't bring himself to speak. Very sad moment.

Thanks for starting this thread. Vanessa's grief and sadness in the interview was palpable.
