We have quail (and more rarely ducks) crossing our streets. The problem with the quail is that they can come in large flocks, and there is always the odd bird or two or three who suddenly realize that the party has moved to the other side of the street and dart across with an intense feeling of FOMO.

Like the turkeys, they can fly and will if they have to.
