Yuzuru Hanyu... yes, he made quite a bit of history. I can think of...

- the first quadruple loop (2016 CS Autumn Classic)
- the first quad toe-triple Axel sequence (2018 GP Helsinki)
- the first skater to successfully land three quadruple jumps in the second half of a free skate program (2017 WTT)
- the first skater to debut four types of quadruple jumps successfully at first attempt with a positive grade of execution (GOE) in international competition (toe loop in 2010, Salchow in 2012, loop in 2016, and Lutz in 2017)
- the first man to score over 200 in the free program (2014-15 NHK)
- the first man to score over 300 in a single competition (2014-15 NHK)
- the first man to break all three records (short, free, combined) in two consecutive competitions (2014-15 NHK, 2014-15 GPF)
- the first singles skater to win 4 GPFs (2014-17)
- the first singles skater to be ranked first in the world standings for five consecutive seasons (2015-19)
- the first (and only) male skater to have achieved the Super Slam, that is gold in both major junior and all major senior international competitions (4CC 2020)

And he's still creating firsts, but as they are not in competition I'll leave it here...

This is really a most impressive list of the firsts! Thank you @TallyT, for putting it together! It helps to showcase Yuzuru’s wonderful career but also to document a huge part of the progress made within the sport during this decade, as well as the history of the sport.
It helps to understand why Yuzuru has become the only figure skater, as well as the only Asian and the only winter sports athlete, to make it to Top 10 of the Best Champions of 100 years list as voted by the worldwide sport journalist association AIPS members where he was listed at No 6. It also helps to understand why he is considered the GOAT of the sport not just by his hardcore fans but also by so many journalists (who just backed this opinion with their vote) and by casual fans who love him so much.

Just as you say, there are many "firsts" Yuzuru has achieved as a pro, but as I was reminded this thread is meant exclusively to list the competitive "firsts", so I left them out this time (meant just as an explanation to those who have already seen and liked my previous post listing and linking Yuzuru's "firsts" as a pro). :)
But you can still find them here Wikipedia list :)
