I actually asked Annika about that and she said they looked at the rules and didn't find anything saying it was illegal. She also said that even if it was, they'd still have done it

Illegal or not, it has been a historical first and Annika and Robert were first to perform the trick at an ISU championship.

Yeah, that confuses me too. Many skaters can do this move, but I was always under the impression it was banned as well.
