Also, as an idea of how to correct for how many skaters are in each house you could always correct the number of house points by normalizing to the number of skaters in it.
For instance at the moment:
1- Hufflepuff - 1730 points, 15 members
2- Slytherin - 1575 points, 14 members
3- Ravenclaw - 1255 points, 13 members
4- Gryffindor - 1145 points, 16 members
Example: 16/15=1.067 -> 1730 points*1.067=1845 points
Normalized totals:
1. Hufflepuff - 1845 points
2. Slytherin - 1800 points
3. Ravenclaw - 1545 points
4. Gryffindor - 1145 points
This doesn't change the rankings for last year as it happens but does slightly narrow Hufflepuff's peak of Slytherin.
Just an idea though!
ETA: Just realized that this is my 1,000 post on GS

Skipping the GP and other events...but that’s so Slytherin
it could be gryffindor too... she is skipping hogwarts to find the horcruxes

just wondering... were more skaters added (ones i mentioned yesterday) to create a balance (added other euro ladies and some canadian skaters)? if so, since i already voted, will i be able to sort them? It may be useful since there are some of these skaters who will definitely be competing next year, while we already have semi-retired skaters...

It’s ok to go back and vote for those you haven’t sorted yet. We just aren’t supposed to vote several times for one skater.

Interesting...while it is rather mischievous to just skip I think of Goblet of Fire and all the Gryffindor’s trying to get into the tournament using aging potions and all that. My first thought about skipping the GP and other events was that of Draco saying "Let's just say I don't think I'll see me wasting my time in Charms Class next year. ... “

Yeah... possible.
he is such a goof that sometimes i think of him as a hufflepuff, plus he started as a young lanky teen and became a very attractive man
.. then... his style is so "noble and coming from another era" (my words) that I imagine Gryffindor as well.....but also his taste in dangerous sports.... i guess some people may put him in Slytheryn too for reasons I don't know? His costumes?
