This is very odd.
I have recently found a wonderful townhome I would like to reside in with my new girlfriend. It is a great location and fantastic price - the landlord who is absolutely wonderful called the two references that I gave her - one being my job and the other a previous landlord - and neither receptionist or ex-landload remembers me????!!!!
Julie even calls me sweetie - maybe because she doesn't remember my real name LOL (funniest thing about it is my name is on my work shirts). Yah! that really makes a person feel good. ESPECIALLY when it is something I find so important.
Our HR contact was not there, but I would have thought she would at least put her in contact with the owner or something. I know he remembers me for I just spoke with him today AND I was the one who spun him out on the go-cart course for our company picnic.
I do have to say that Harpaul - the landlord - not remembering me was very painful in a way. I saw him every month at least for 2 years. I lived in the first house he had when the moved to America. Where his son grew up and I new the neighbor that her son grew up with his son...........I even did electrical work in his house free of charge to get the residence up to code so he could continue to rent to me. He told me many times he was happy to have me as Tenant, yet I am dust in the wind.
Anyhoo, thought I would share my pain with you all - you are always offering kind words to me here at GS, so I hope I am remembered to some degree by "friends of the forum" even if I do not post as much as I used to.
I so hope this does not hurt my chances of getting this place. I love it and think Jia Min would absolutely love it too. She grow up with very little. And time she has been in America never even has had washing machine. She says it is no big deal for she used to wash clothes in river when she grow up, so that makes me feel even more for wanting to give her the simple pleasures that us Americans sometimes take for granted.
BTW, she look very much like BeBe and she wants to start skating regularly with me. We would be living close to the rink, I am soooo looking forward to living there. I hope you all wish me luck with the house.
I don't think I need luck with Jia Min, this is serious love - like I have dreamed it is really supposed to be. No matter what I know we will always be best friends, and I see no end to the passion we feel for each other....... ahhhhh sorry I ramble yet again.
