Jason Brown

Oh no, no, no, I couldn't bear it, I already can't bear what I fear will happen, I couldn't bear it, for this too...

Yeah I hear ya!

Well, in this March 2016 article he specifically says he wants to go to 2022. I suppose he could have changed his mind, but it may also have been that he was just talking off the top of his head to his Japanese fan club, that his statements about retirement and commentating for Tokyo 2020 were unrelated, and that he is not in fact planning to stop skating any time soon. Let's hope!

back to the photo shoot....

The cover photo for the US Olympic Team twitter account has not one, but two photos of Jason in its 20 photo collage. One is adorable Jason and Karen, and one is Jason and splits.

Nathan Chen also makes an appearance. :thumbsup:I don't know any of the others, I don't think I'm missing any other skaters, but I'm not staring that closely...

hi all there are some more photos and a veido of Jason and his sister in cebo on his website what abeautiful place the phillipines I would love too go sometime and paint pictures. ithink its great that Jason has he opportunity too travel so much. its great.:hap10:

Cebu certainly looks lovely, but I am distracted as well (one silly, one not):

1. Semi-serious: just how much *biking* is he doing through SE Asia :eeking: Not the Asia part, the biking part....one fall, and there goes your collarbone, your wrist, and eeeeek. I know he's young, and an elite athlete, and he can't live in a bubble. But aren't injuries from skating enough?

2. Not at all serious: knowing what my "normal curly" hair would look like in that humidity, I can't *imagine* Jason's hair. It must be standing straight up:laugh:

Will you post a link please?,

That's so cool that Jason and his sister are close enough to do that trip together. It's an awesome way to cross train and keep in shape. He will need his legs as strong as he can get them to do quads next season.

I want him to make the Olympic team so bad!

I am half expecting him to skate a Samson and Delilah program next season and cut it off.

I am not a fan of the man bun to be honest and noticed he used it for the NBC press thingy. If he likes it, well I am glad to live in a world and time where he is free to wear a manbun, but still think they pony tail and T&I are better options. Hell I'll take I Woke Up Like This Jason over manbun Jason.

I suspect part of the reason behind the manbun is that buns are out of they way... the only reason i ever wear a bun is when i really want my hair out of my way.

Jason makes the most of his travels both competition and otherwise. So many skaters seem to fly in and out and he, and Kori and his parents always take time to appreciate the unique places he competes. Even on vacation he truly absorbs the culture. I am so impressed with him as a young man and of course his skating too.

Ice Network has been "polling" for best programs of the year on Twitter. Yes, it's a silly Internet poll, but still...

They select four programs, and Jason and the Piano are one of the four selected. Considering that the other three are Yuzu, Shoma and Nathan, and IN has *not* been US centric in its other nominations, still cool.

A certain skater is leading by a wide margin, butt Jason could use some more votes so he doesn't finish last:biggrin:

(And on the iPad and three time zones away from home, so I can't link;)
