Jason Brown

I adore watching Jason when he is looking at the person with whom he is talking. He has the eyes so bright and intelligent!
But a little less hair product, please!!!!
Enough for me to see Jason's eyes shine. I do not need her hairgel'a shine!

Thank you for this video of Jason "learning" blues harp. It is wonderful to see the Chicago blues community embrace him (and I presume the routine.)

I think Jason's no-win situation is that his hair looks less tidy without product. I recently stumbled across another photo showing his hair free of product. (Jason is to the left [ETA, correction: "to the RIGHT"] of the young lady with the wide blue headband.)

Unrelated humorous photo/comment from the devoted Kori  about always becoming a pack mule schlepping all of Jason's stuff:

That was pretty much my guess as well. I am not sure his hair is they type to allow itself to be pulled into a neat ponytail without product. His hair clearly has a ton of body to it.

He does use a lot of product, but there is a reason. Plus he likely does not want to have to keep fixing it and futzing with it. I can forgive him keeping it glued into place for sanity.

I agree his is kinda stuck. If he glues it in place it looks like it has too much product and some don't like that look. If he does not it looks messy, and some don't like that. If he cuts it. . .ohh that poor bastard i don't want to think about what he would have to listen to.

On the subject of his hair. Did we like it better here for T&I or at Nebelhorn? Looked like at this one he pulled more hair into the braids and left less down. I think I like it better before at Nebelhorn. This almost still looked like a pony tail.

Little Walter's daughter Marion Diaz Reacco has expressed her support (Jason, I'll be watching you, I'll see you all the way to the top!), on the Little Walter Foundation website and support for Jason is featured prominently on the front page -- Jason, you and Little Walter are one of a kind, and we'll be behind you all the way!

I prefer the Nebelhorn style, but that may be because it looks a lot like mine on a daily basis, except I skip the braids and pull the front part back with a barrette.

I prefer style Neibelhorn! More hair, niceist for me!!!! It's more natural! Jason is a person very natural and I think his curlies are the parts of him look!

My father had many curly hair. I have straight hair and I hate them! My daughter has curly hair but use the iron for hair (and gel, spray, straightening, lot of hair product, sadly)... Those who have curly hair want straight hair and vice versa ... So I am not surprised that Jason who has a lot of curly hair use a lot of products ... But... are you understand me, really? I want to see Jason with all her curly hair... Because I like natural look!

I have quite curly and wavy hair too. I almost never straighten it or use product in it.

Like Jason, I wear it in a ponytail a lot of the time. Especially to the rink. But when I get off the ice, my hair is in wispy frizz all around my head - and I don't do even a quarter of the things he can. It frizzes at the slightest hint of moisture in the air. So for competition, I straighten it and spray it.

I think we can safely say that Jason doesn't always straighten his hair. I mean, look at the beautiful waves he's sporting for T&I, and some of the practice photos. But I can understand why for media appearances and competition, he does.

Wow! I had no idea his hair was so curly-- funny, when he was a little boy, it obviously had lots of body but nothing like his hair (free of product) today. I suppose some people's hair changes over time.

Adorable photo, no? Look at those lips!

 Just realized that by mistake, I said "left" instead of "right." :bang: [ And all of you were too polite to correct me. ;) ]
Will go back and fix my post.

And yes -- adorable photo, alabhaois. :)

Looks like the curls showed up pretty early still. Before he was solely focused on skating at least.

His hair in those pix looks impossibly thick and full of body. My hair was straight when I was a little kid,
then as I grew older, it got kind of bushy with lots of body. I can't complain, though straight hair used to
be the rage and as a teen, I could never achieve it.

Was great to see him leveraging his popularity for a worthy cause. The partnership with Ronald McDonald house for the fan ice-toss gifts was effective. Would be great to see if this can be replicated at other events. Logistically, others have discussed similar options, but has always been tough to pull off. It certainly worked and made sense this time, given Jason's strong family base in the Chicago area. His parents and many family were sure supportive, and I think it's wonderful that they were also kept busy being helpful for a good cause. Good for him!

As discussed earlier in the thread, Jason already said before Skate America that he will be donating his gifts from future competitions to Ronald McDonald Houses as well. :) It was never meant to be just a one-time thing tied to Skate America, and future donations will go to other RMHs besides the one near Lurie Hospital.

As I've been rewatching his T&I program, I wondered.... Is it me, or is he a little faster than last year? I'm really not good with these things, so it might just be my imagination - so I thought you'd be the best people to ask. :) So, what say all of you?
