I don't think it would be a matter of punishing our dear Max -- but of rewarding the top three at Nats.
If Max had placed third in Greensboro, I would have wanted him to go to Four Continents and Worlds. And if he had placed second at Nats, I would have wanted him to go to WTT. So I can't begrudge Josh or Adam these opportunities.
And it's great that Jason (unlike Ashley) went to Four Continents -- so that he could try his quad.
But - no-one talked about rewarding Max for helping with three spots last year. Why is it only when it's Adam people are saying he should be rewarded? Max didn't any special treatment. He never does, ever. He doesn't even get support from his own federation.
It wasn't Jason that I thought should have skipped Four Continents.
Never mind me, I'm going to go be an over emotional fool in the corner.

I like Jason's glasses
I also think it's adorable that he actually can't see the crowd, along with having a ton of respect for being able to do what he does while clearly lacking in the eyesight department. I think I'd turn into a one-karne wrecking ball on the ice without my glasses.

bravo Jason and bravo jewelsplayer.
Fourth at his first Worlds. That is pretty bloody epic.
hwell: Hersh readily  provided the context that fourth at Worlds is the best U.S. men's placement since Lysacek won in 2009.
