Jason Brown

^^^thanks for the link, Stitch, always ready for an internet vote throw-down.

Also, although this is not technically a team KoRo fan fest, according to his Instagram, it seems like Rohene is choreographing for quite a few skaters: not only Courtney Hicks, but two I had to look up: Elena Taylor and Philip Warren. Hope he's saving the best for Jason.

Google translate says: Mars soon go to Tokyo ! This is the highest Nante path form can be in front of everyone in Japan . Very I am looking forward to !

Ha.

I think he's saying that he's going to Toyko soon and he's looking forward to it and hopes he can perform his best for everyone there. :)

I like Mars better:laugh2:

Maybe this is his way of saying his music for next year is David Bowie's "Life on Mars" Not that I would complain.

Here is a failed attempt at what was supposed to be a 1-2 minute "jumpamatron" video of a just a few of Jason's jumps and a spins. Well....I just kept selecting highlights from his two skates at 2015 WC and the next thing I realized was I had enough footage for a 6 minute video! I whittled that down to a 4minute remix that I hope you guys will enjoy. The thing is....with all of his interesting choreo and especially the transitions into elements and out I just found it hard not to include more and more stuff. Believe me....I didn't want to cut anything out but a 6 minute video is almost too much. :)

That's basically the gist of it.
I'm going to Tokyo soon! It's great to be able to perform in front of you-all in Japan. I'm really looking forward to it.

This is wonderful! I love how you wove the two programs together and the music you chose is great. I loved that we got a close up of his face, which is so expressive.

For those of you who don't speak Spanish (Sam used their clips) - the commentators just raved about him in both programs. Among other things: in the SP: 3A - great, he's gotten better technically, great height and free leg was impeccable. 3Lz: really great, +2 at minimum. Combo: a little scratchy, snow. General: wow! How great- he interprets really well and jumped really well even tho the combo was scratchy. What a pity he doesn't have a quad yet. For FS: 3Lz: great, enormous. Great 3Lo. 3A: under rotated. General: what a pity he he has no chance of winning without a quad, but this guy is so great. Beautiful program. So athletic. So much charisma. Brilliant. Spectacular choreographic sequence. Wow, brilliant, what a great way to end the world championships.

;) I am so happy to have a safe place to post nice things about Jason.

Now THAT is a compliment!

I hope Jason knows about it.

And I hope even more he makes the GPF next year so he can visit Spain and they can appreciate him live.

Ooh if he made it I might have to go. Spain is one of my favorite countries and I've not been to Barcelona. And the Spanish people are simply wonderful, which is probably the best part of going.

This was wonderful thank you Sam-Skwantch!
Thank you :). I appreciate the feedback from everyone :). While I'm content making these videos and just watching them by myself I really hope some of his best fans can enjoy them too. I read this thread actively(mostly as a lurker) but I keep up (even all the fan girling  )and tried to incorporate what I believe to be the aspects of his skating that seems to generate discussion here. It's interesting to see how effective his movements can be even to different music. I just love the way he expresses himself so it is really easy to make these things because everything just kind of flows together.

If anyone is interested....my favorite aspect of Jason's skating is his transitions into and out of the bigger elements. To me they are difficult but most importantly....creative. He uses his emotion and personality to interpret the movements. Well....that and his spins:yes:

Thanks again;)

Well I wasn't going to mention it...but yeah..where was this video editor's mind? (not you Sam, the person who filmed the video you used...)

Yeah...but he is so good at the Russian Splits that I couldn't not use it but TBH CoC and WC had some really bizarre zooms. :confused2: Oh..well. I don't think anyone will be too upset. :)

The framing i can sorta get, you may not know when a skater is going to jump or how high. Now the choice to use it in the slow mo highlights. . . that strikes me as more deliberate.

To bring this back ...to um...somewhere else ...am I the only one noticing Jason's air positioning is really good. Some of the slow motion jumps are really gorgeous with how he uses his arms. I think his jumps are very underrated  I know quad talk is kind of Taboo with Jason but I would be surprised of he isn't doing one by the end of next year. Either way I'm not going to complain because he offers far more than jumps which is número number one in my book.
