Jason Brown

Love the juxtaposition of commentary in that video.

Johnny sounds so negative when the others are throwing around superlatives.

More adorable cuteness thanks to a retweet the Japanese Fan Club twitter feed. A Jason-kun doll:

This Twitter feed also had adorable dolls of Javi-chan, the three men's world medalists and probably others I can't identify (some pair or ice dancer is featured).

She (?) made the yellow pants and brown boots look good:laugh:

Great job! Oh, dear, the contrast is really telling.... And also from Jason's happy face, and the ovation from the crowd, and then "You can see from his face..." You can?! I certainly couldn't! But then, my eyesight isn't the best..... ;)

That awkward moment when Canadian commentators have more positive things to say about a US skater

How wonderful! And of course, one of the benefits to having watched all the skaters *during* the competition (I assume), is that both the Italian and the Spanish commentators talked about how the excellent program was a fitting end to the competition. (At least, I know the Italians did, and I think the Spanish did. My Italian is rusty, but my Spanish is worse:laugh2:)

Fantastico! Brillante! The Americans must be so proud! and Johnny Weir... :slink:

Bravo, Phileas Borsu.

And seriously.....Jason always has fun skating no matter what! He's always happy to be there!

Which is one of many reasons why we LOVE HIM.

Well, I have a feeling that the absolute majority of Americans (those who care at all, anyway) are proud indeed :)

Awwww!

Also, congratulations to Jason for achieving over 50,000 twitter followers (tweeting an adorable picture with Yuzuru while in Japan helped that number to spike)!

Love it!

Such a great juxtaposition of reactions between the rest of the world and Johnny.

Awwwww! How cute! (I have a feeling I'm going to be saying that a lot this week)

Is NBC doing WTT or are they done for the season?

Yikes, is it only about 36 hours to the mens SP or am I confused? ;)

Perfect. Perfect comparison (though probably needs English subtitles just to sink the boot in further.) And perfectly sums up my feelings towards Weir and his "commentary".

I'm debating whether to tweet a link to that video or not...it's unlisted now

I'm so clueless about proper online protocol

I don't think we get much coverage at all for WTT, which is sad as it is a fun event that some people might actually enjoy watching.

The ISU stream says it is 1 day 6 hours 44 minutes as of 4:40 PM Mountain Time till event start, but i suspect Mens is second. (so 6:40 Eastern, 3:40 Pacific).

But who are we kidding, we want to see Jason cheering as much as we want to see him skate.
