Jason Brown

I love the flow he had coming out of the 3A as well. I keep going back to the edge class video. He just makes it look so smooth and easy.

Dave & Jenny's transportation problem has been solved. But really, if you must be stuck some place for a few hours there are far worse things than spending time at Chili's with the always fabulous Rohene Ward.

Agreed! Also, I love the contrast in eating: skaters (is that Luke West?) with salads. Dave nursing a cup of coffee.

And Rohene, chowing down on diner food. Zero figs given.

Like everyone else, Jason's 3A entry leaves me

Across from Dave is Jamie Wright [with his handsome face clearly visible here -- in contrast to the on-ice video that I at first believed to include (also-handsome ;)) Josh].
And between Rohene and Jamie is the awesome Alokya Perera (@11apperera), the source of the many tweets and videos from the Freezer Challenge and Broadmoor Open on which we all depended.

(Off topic: I assumed it was an outpost of the Chili's chain, which is not what I would call a diner, not that it matters . And a photo of a full Chili's meal was on TSL's social media yesterday. I seem to recall mashed potatoes, for example :).)

ETA:
Yesterday's photo of the Chili's meal: https://instagram.com/p/6Yfd8gKEAV/. No indication of whose meal it was specifically.
LOL, this morning, Dave was at IHOP with Chris and Alexa: https://instagram.com/p/6aNTN0qEIE/.

Thanks for the IDs, Golden, particularly of the "Broadmoor Tweeter", for whom I was very grateful:cheer2:

I do know IHOP, but not Chilis. Not because I'm such a foodie, but because I don't get out much :) and when I do, it's ethnic: Chinese, Indian, Ethiopian, etc.

But Dave and Jenny are certainly eating their way through Colorado....

No blade probs since fall of last year (and those were fairly quickly resolved) that I'm aware of; the jumps are still solid as ever in isolation they're just working on training them into the programs...it will come in time...the jumps aren't lost or totally MIA or anything.

Thank you for the update again! :)

TSL just published a montage from 7k with clips from their regular Friday am practice run throughs - not just Jason but also Mariah & quite a few others. At the beginning in what looks like warmup we see some jumping passes from him - at 1:35 we see a solid 3Z-1L-3T and a 3A-2L. At about 5:05 we get a fairly sizeable chunk of the FS with most of the jumping passes cut out - we do see the 4T attempt (still looks <<and 2 foot) plus a solid 3Z. Looks like they changed the ending spin to remove the stars, which makes it smoother. Whole montage is about 10 mins and well worth watching. Since I've been very critical of TSL at times in the past I will just say I am really impressed with what they've been doing in the past few months and am really looking forward to seeing how it impacts their recaps & previews next season. ;)

Edited to correct jump combo to 3A-2L.

I originally saw the lovely Alokya in the photo attached to TSL's thank-you msg to her for her help on their Colorado trip -- posted before the car keys went missing.

Anyway, I believe that basically on the spur of the moment, Alokya had reached out to TSL right before attending Freezer/Broadmoor ... which led to giving her videos to TSL and writing the recaps for TSL. Very nice of Alokya to help TSL again when they were on the ground in Colorado, so I was pleased to see that TSL gave her the shout-out :) on FB. And she even kept them company at Chili's after the car key snafu.

If TSL does *this*, they have a subscriber. Does anyone know the first skater, rocking it out to "Green Onions"? I don't think I've ever seen anyone skate to that before.
And God help me, Jason's loose sash thingy is growing on me....

I think that's Luke West, one of Kori's newer students. She mentions him in her interview.

I love that sash - gorgeous colors! But, are the shoulders of the costume padded or have his shoulders gotten broader?

I don't believe there are shoulder pads. He's been on a fitness regimen and working out quite a bit--I believe his body shape may have changed a bit this summer as a result.

Yes, Golden is correct in identifying Luke...that's such a great program for him!

Yes :).

p.s. I have been craving injera ever since your post yesterday :hopelessness:.

Injera: bread of the gods. And healthy enough for even a skater to eat.;)

And thanks to Polenka84, our "inside source" for confirming your observation about Luke.

That was great. It amazes me how he can do that so beautifully on such a crowded rink.

 A local skating club here actually just shared that vid on Facebook with the caption (approximately) saying "we should be happy about ice time here; the best in the world don't have nearly as much room to train in!"
