Jason Brown

LOL, breaking news ;):

Confirmation that Jason is darkening his hair is in the December issue of Skating magazine, which has quotes from both Jason and Rohene:

(The page numbers in the magazine and in the URLs are out of synch.)

Link to the full magazine -- which has lots of good Jason stuff scattered throughout:

Jason is included in Max Settlage's cover illustration of the reigning national champions, for just one example.

But why?
Jason has a beautiful light brown hair color. In line with his fair skin. But surprisingly dark eyes . He has many beautiful hair! Why spoil it with artificial colors and fat grease??? Jason é bello in stile naturale. Bellissimo. Un vero danceur noble.

Jason is beautiful in natural style . Beautiful . A real danceur noble.

Just read the Skating Mag article, came here, and saw that the ever vigilant Golden411 had posted; thanks!

It does show Jason's loyal fans aren't completely crazy. Well, skating is show biz:agree2: but Rohene, as we know (as much as we love him) does not always have the most, errr, conventional eye (I don't mean his own look, which is fab, but think e.g., yellow pants).

As someone born with dark brown hair (before the silver highlights. ;) ) I can't imagine why anyone would want to dye it that color, but Jason is definitely a good sport!

The color of the pants of Tristan and Isolde were not yellow but mustard , a beautiful medieval color and looked great in Jason .
As for the rest : I see Rohene and Jason are two very different characters . Jason is beautiful all natural it is a shame to ruin her looks with color hair , with bright costumes

I think his costumes this season are really rather subdued and stylish :)

... I was merely pointing out that being used in the promo does not mean that a skater is going. ...

:agree:

BTW:

As recently as yesterday, the Nats venue promoted that Jason "will be here" and "will defend his title" -- but I doubt any of us would interpret the tweet and corresponding FB post as confirmation that he will be competing at Nats (even with the re-posts by 2016 Nats social media).

I'll take it as a reason for optimism, but not as confirmation.

HI all and happy holidays . I agree JASONS posts on twitter and instragram are fun and injoyable. Its good that he gets too take a break every now and then. somehow I get the feeling that he trained way too hard for this season that's probably why he injured his back in training.Ihave too sayi love his darker hair color. Jasons 21 now he probably going for a more mature look when he performs. when he not performing office he dresses very casuel and sporty. and lets face it he looks great in asuit and tie too. he also looks goodwith his hair tied back in a ponytail. even though he wants too look good. I think he just wants fans too really focus on his talent.Jason is very talented and goodlooking in his own right.Jason has a great smile.Jasons smile attracts a lot of people too him and his talent.and he also has a great personality from what ive seenso far. add all that up and you have the making of a great performer and I think he is here too stay for along time too come.

HI, everyone yes Jason brown is funny and intertaining. I think it has a lot too do with the younger generations today. their really nifty with there electronic devices.

Putting this here as well as 7k, I could not find a Romain Ponsart fan fest?:scratch2:

http://www.skate-info-glace.com/interview-romain-ponsart/

Interview in French with Romain. For the purposes of this thread, he is grateful that the French fed's stupidity (*my* interpretation, not his!) led him to 7k and the opportunity to work with a skater like Jason Brown.

He's only been there a month. Work with a skater = Skating?;) I'll grasp at anything

As quickly as they spoke up about Jordan, I think that if Jason was not going to be there they would have said something. So i think think they are expecting him to be there just fine. I don't think they are the type to string anyone along... including Jason. His post seem pretty normal compared to last year.

The only possibility i could see for a delay is if there is a NDA about something else he is doing.

I agree. I've seen some chatter about Jason's "silence" about what is going on right now with his skating, but I don't think much of it. I would think that most skaters/coaches would be so (mentally at least) busy about preparing for Nationals that they wouldn't tweet or post much about what is going on the ice.

And of course it would be. The only "doubt" about Jason not being at Nationals came from the gossip-mongers and fools. He was always going to be there.

Sidebar: the gossip mongering on FSUniverse is making me not want to post or visit there anymore. We will 100% know in two weeks how ready Jason is. (Same for whatever is going on with Joshua - although by this qualifier list from USFS, Josh is no longer listed.) I don't like it when there is a post about a skater without a link to a news article, something "official" from their federation, or reliable social media post.

Okay rant over - back to talking about Jason: I wish the best of luck for him at Nationals (along with Max) and that his recovery from his back injury. The goal is to hopefully peak at Worlds and I trust that he and his team are taking to care needed to be about to do a quad attempt well there.

Actually, Karne, I wasn't at all sure Jason would compete at Nats, and I consider myself neither a fool nor a gossip monger. He was awfully silent about anything training related for an awful long time. I understand why he might have avoided discussing it, but in the absence of solid facts, it's natural for fans to wonder what's going on.

Yeah, I also was not 100% sure he was over his injury, yet it feels a bit harsh to be called a fool and a gossip-monger...

I have to admit... I also felt a bit "guess i am a fool then" in here.

While i did think it was unlikely that his team would hide things... the reality of injuries if that you don't always know what will happen on the road to recovery. To me there was always a chance that things would not go as planned. I don't think he or anyone on his team is the type to push to play through the pain... if the injury is still and issue I would expect a withdraw... and see nothing wrong with that.

Given that the updated list has Jordan off the list, it would appear as of recently things were looking good so that is a good sign.

But he hardly ever tweets/instagrams about training anyway. It's not like there was anything unusual about his posts, nor did he go into complete radio silence mode like Josh. And unlike Josh, he was never forced to stop training altogether, only have it scaled back. So it clearly wasn't a particularly severe injury, just something that required a few weeks of caution.

I hope he skates so well at Nationals...I wanted to see them, together, all three... :sad21:

First, Karne, I am so sorry you won't see Josh:sad21::sad21:

But I have to add that I am another one who was fretting about Jason. Not just that he seemed to be hither and yon being his happy self (good for him) but that Coach Vincent, who loooves to post his skaters jumping, has been posting Romain. I am always glad if fretting is for nothing...

And Jordan confirmed to Ice Network that he broke his leg training the quad.:dev2: If Jason does *only* triples, I'll be fine with that!
