Jason Brown

OK, more researching for the elusive "Jason on ice" videos... In this Coach Vincent clip of Kaitlyn (and I don't know who she is, but congrats and good luck!)

is this Jason spinning at the very beginning of the clip in front of the camera? Or am I like a thirsty man in the desert, seeing a mirage?:scratch2:

much easier to slow down and look frame by frame here

in any case, I think you are right... but could not get what would be a decent screen shot. If you move the bar slowly... you can tell... trying to stop it is beyond me.

I can tell Jason is not a big fan of cats, its kind of funny I read in his profile that he likes dogs and dolphins, I love dogs and cats.

I suspect cats love him. He does not like them enough to pay them attention, but still has the must pet them reflex in him.

But no-one is asking the important question:

Why is there cat? Who does the cat own?

More like buff from the washed out vid? But close enough...

So funny that Jason clearly has no experience with cats and does not know how to react to a simple kitty head butt.

To be fair, kitty head butts have taken even the best of us by surprise.

But no-one is asking the important question:

In the cat's mind? Everyone. ;) Oh, you mean who owns the cat? No idea, but I'd be curious to know too.

I don't know who owns the cat. its really cute I did here Jason call out too his dad so his dad was with him maby he was at home at the time with his family at the time.

Oh, you guys...he's so nice! And he really will just randomly hug you even before you've been introduced. He's so lovely!

Reminds me when I met him after a Stars on Ice show back in 2014. Wow. It's been almost 2 years! Cause I remember him hugging everyone that came up and met him. Which included me. It made me feel so happy! And I'm grinning like an idiot as I type this out lol. And it made my plan to be 100% composed go out the window. I mean I was composed enough, but you could tell I was slightly fangirling in terms of how nervous I was and me saying, "I can't believe I'm talking to you right now!"

Oh goodness, yes. After totally freezing when I saw Joshua on Saturday, Jason didn't even give me time to freeze. And the opener of our conversation went like this: "Hi, I'm Jason." "I know." REALLY? "I know'?! :palmf:

you know I love Jason too death. he is one of my favorite skaters. I never had the opportunity too meet him in person. one day maby I will get too meet him . every thing I have hered and read about him everybody says how nice he really is. that's great what a great rolemodel for young skaters too follow.

Aww, that is so cute! If it helps you, I'm pretty sure I would have reacted the exact same way as you did! ;)

#SorryNotSorry  to disappoint those who are convinced that Phil Hersh is incapable of saying anything favorable about Jason:

Philip Hersh ‏@olyphil
Mark St. Patrick’s Day with @jasonbskates Riverdance at 14 natls. As electric as anything in 36 years covering FS https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J61k2XjRryM

It totally still works. Jason's performance gives me chills every time.

I love his first movement. It's as though he's calling down the magic ... which is exactly the feeling I got watching Riverdance, the show, live.

Also, I feel myself smiling like crazy all through this program, and then I notice the same crazy smiles on the faces of the audience. Just spectacular. Thx for posting.

Great new article on USA Today by Nick McCarvel.

“I’m not going to lie, I was really looking forward to it,” he said. “I had dreams when I found out it was there. But then I think about how much more hungry I’ll be next year for worlds. I want to be there in 2017 to secure those three spots for the Olympics.”

Johnny's comments are pure gold again: "Despite the fact that he is stronger internationally and more respected than an athlete like Hochstein, you have to show up and compete, injured or not.”

What drivel.

Thanks for posting, TMC. Finally, a journalist who shows an understanding of what Jason means to US men's figure skating (and an explanation of his injuries).

As for Johnny Weir, he has officially gone off the deep end. Maybe, since he has the nerve earlier to compare his criticisms to "hard-hitting" NFL commentary, he thinks that NFL players should keep playing through concussions? I can only hope, for Johnny's sake, that the quote was taken out of context.
