Jason Brown

I believe Mrs. P's daughter's name is Therese (or Thérèse, as an American friend spelled her name:scratch2: Accents in a non accented language are hard).

Those Browns are just too cute. Wouldn't catch my family doing that.;)

Happy New Years, Jason fans:hb:

Those French accents: avec accent aigu, grave et circonflex. Thérèse, un beau nom.

That is one realistic looking Cardboard Jason. Had me fooled! :laugh2: Can't wait to see the real deal at Nats.

No real news, just feel like bumping up the thread;) for a dose of skating "cute"

Has everyone seen this tweet of Madison Chock and Cardboard Jason; so adorbs

Also OT, but Madi had a tweet a week ago? with her and Rohene where they both looked *fab*.

So glad you bumped this thread - time to stop talking about Phil Hersh already! Really cute picture, and I also loved the one she posted with Rohene.

I'll contribute this, which I just adore:

Huh. Hopefully we'll get the presser or something of substance soon so we can talk about Jason's skating!

we really need a "smiley" of Axel Loop and Lutz, Yuri on Ice Triplets saying "crap crap crap crap crap" for moments like this.

:bang: will have to do.

Well, crap is right! When I saw this posted on the other board, I immediately closed my laptop and drove to the grocery store. Just couldn't process it. I still need time.

Brown and coach Kori Ade could not figure out what was wrong in Japan, but after returning to their training base in Colorado in December, Brown was diagnosed with the stress fracture on Dec. 16 and was ordered off the ice for more than two weeks.

I am crossing my fingers for him so much, talk about bad luck :palmf:

The only good thing that has come out of this is knowing that he wasn't a head case at NHK, that his poor performances were due to injury.

What I find really surprising is that he wasn't diagnosed until December 16, nearly 3 weeks after NHK. Had he been in the boot two weeks earlier he might be better off now.

I also find it surprising that based on comments made today on FSU, at least some people knew he was off ice for 2 weeks and in a walking boot, but it was never reported.

So... depending on the weather, I might be heading down for the 7K send-off tomorrow. Can someone tell me if there is seating there.

Yes. It's typical bleacher seating on one side of the rink. Please report back if you go, and tell Jason all his fans are rooting for him!

When I saw the headline "stress fracture", I thought, I can't, I just can't...:bang:

:eeking::giveup:

As Tavi said, the only bright light is that the NHK meltdown may actually have a reason.....

And I saw that poster on FSU mentioned the walking boot too. But Jason was doing a mean Macarena (those moves will always be the Macarena to me) without a boot after the diagnosis. A puzzlement.

More bad news for jason... but at least it was then and not just now, like with Adam. Well, I hope he skates whatever he is capable of doing at this point, as cleanly as he can and let the chips fall where they may. Best of luck to him.

Totally agree - his timing and the lift on his jumps both seemed so off at NHK that I was really worried about him. Thinking positively and calling on the skating gods to watch over him! :handw:

Thanks for the info! Let's see what hubs says about leaving work early to go with me. I'd love to go, but I'd rather not go alone. Too bad it's on a week day.

^^ Oh, it would be so awesome to have an eyewitness report of the "send off", Rosa74. Hope you can go and be our eyes and ears!

Tavi, thank you for being my 4,000th thumbs up.

Yes but the rinks themselves are really cold. FYI.

I guess we knew something was up but I was really, really hoping it was just a bad day, not an injury...
