Jason Brown

I think Jason will do just fine with his you tube channel I am looking forward too it it should be very intertaining and engaging I cant wait too watch.:hap10:

^^^Love that move! His flexibility is incredible! Wish he would make an official announcement of programs SOON. :drama:

In a recently published interview, Keiji Tanaka named Jason Brown and Misha Ge as two skaters he looks up to and is inspired by.

Q: Who’s performances were the most memorable for you?

K: Jason Brown, and the person who I thought “I want to become a skater like him” while watching was Misha Ge. I heard that he was going to retire so I was watching thinking “This will be his last performance”. In addition to giving it his all in that last performance, in terms of expression, I really felt that I want to become as inspiring as he is.

Q: Is your ideal skater more like Jason Brown and Misha Ge who appeal with expression rather than skaters who use quads as their weapons?

K: Of course I would like to skate with both skills. I want to be join in the battle involving jumps, and since figure skating also has an artistic element to it, I would like to express that too.

By the way, this young skater commented on Jason's last Instagram post (i.e. the one linked just above in #8245): "@benji 2017 how do you know he doesn't have a quad have you skated with him I did Yesterday. Hint there's a quad" 😊

Answering my own burning ;) question:

Jason did have the opportunity to shoot video with Cookie Monster at the NBC shoot.

Haven't watched his new YT offering yet, but his text notes confirm .

(No mention of whether Jason donned his Sesame Street pajama pants for the occasion  :ghug:.)

Hat tip to Marla for shooting a lot of the raw material that Jason has edited. Doesn't hurt to have a professional TV producer as your mom.

Meanwhile ... kinda surprised that no one posted about Jason's escape room adventure with Gracie, Tarah, and Danny. Looked like fun.

So that was an escape room? Was it recent? I just assumed it was a TBT from Medieval Times or something. haha.

I really enjoyed Jason's latest YT posting about the NBC shoot. It was cool seeing how the photographers instructed them to pose.

I also love this video with Jason & Boitano from Kansas City tweeted by USFS today. I assume it's been shared before?

One of Jason's tags was for an escape room in Colorado Springs.
The other three skaters all are in Colorado Springs at the moment, so I believe the photo probably is current??

Anyway, not a complaint, but only a still shot of Jason with Cookie Monster is near the end of the newly published YT video ... so I will have to be patient  for moving pictures of the two to show up down the road. Something to look forward to.

ETA:

I thought it was great that Jason wrote out a long-ish description of the NBC shoot to accompany his enjoyable video.

So perhaps I need not have been wistful about his excellence as an IN blogger.

Had not occurred to me that he could give us the best of both worlds by including chunks of writing in his YT posts .

I'm impressed with Jason's video editing ability. 49 minutes of material into 4+ minutes is really good.

Also, he is a natural with posing for the comera! I bet the photo crews loved working with him. That can explain why he had SO many photos relative to everyone else.

So do we think Jason is excited about the Olympics, or what? ;)

OK, creeping ever closer to skating with his vids .... but I really enjoyed this one too. It was cool to see what they asked the skaters to do, and how Jason indeed must be a photographer's dream in posing....

I had heard somewhere else sometime in my life that during "celebrity photo shoots" they play music to relax the subjects and help them with posing. But in this case, I do feel the need to point out that they were playing "Let's Get It On" and "Blurred Lines"????:laugh2: I mean, I love both those songs, but... I just can't:shocked:

And it's not like Jason needs help:laugh:

But here's what I don't understand folks.

Why did Jason need to go to *Toronto* for boots?

We know Mr. Jackson Skate Guy travels to Colorado  Jason may not be the "highest ranked" skater in the World (we all know he's the best;)) but surely he doesn't need to go trotting out of the country for boot fittings. He lives at the WTC (ETA: make that OTC ) for criminy's sakes, where Mr Jackson Skate Guy could probably check in on a bunch of skaters.

Truly confused :scratch2:
