Jason Brown

I actually haven't seen it. Does the FS or its music remind you of the movie, or were you asleep too quickly to recall? :p
Well, when he described the music as being based on the snippet from Danish Girl, my first thoughts were not positive, and I was thinking it would be too slow and boring. At the same time, I was encouraged by adjectives such as powerful and more booming being used, and was hopeful that the composer would create something great. So when I watched the video from the Milwaukee Open, I had read positive comments on the boards and, in my mind, was expecting it be somewhat dramatic and powerful, like T&I, so I wasn't thinking of Desplat and Danish Girl at all. But thinking about it, yeah, it probably does remind me somewhat of the movie. So there's an answer in a round-about way.

And honestly, it probably has more to do with me wanting a different style and upbeat program for the Olympic year. I'm sure I'll get over it in time and will end up loving the program.

Well, I adore the LP, so I'm happy.:) I think that when it comes together, it will be a thing of beauty and therefore a joy forever.:)

I just watched the clips and I really loved it! The choreographic sequence also seems to have a bit of everything, including a layback Ina Bauer. The Russian split into the 3S made me happy. This can be quite powerful in the arena, if skated clean with Jason's usual quality. I got goosebumps just watching it on crappy instagram clips.

Here is the closing chapter of the famous cartoon by Ms. Yonk from the meet & greet at WTT2017, I finally finished the English translation, which can be seen here! (the main post only uploaded 4 pages, so I added the last two pages on the comment section under it!)
I haven't done the Italian translation yet, so I couldn't post it on my Italian fan page just yet!!! Enjoy!

Yonk is my spirit animal. This is exactly what meeting Jason is like. It's so cute!

Thank you so much; these are so adorable :agree:
And I do love the comment she makes when Jason says he is nervous about pulling the winning ticket at a fan fest; you can skate last at Worlds in the short, and skate an amazing SP, but you're nervous about pulling a lottery ticket at a fan meeting?" Too cute :yay:

I liked the music, but I think it's going to be much more spectacular in the arena than on TV.
This may well be the case. I admit the Piano OST didn't quite capture me initially, when I watched the video of his then new program two years ago. I thought it was too low key. It was when I saw the program in person at Ondrej Nepela that I got truly, totally blown away and realized how powerful the music/entire program was. This program may have a similar effect, and has a potential to grow on us as it gets polished and finalized, even if for some it may sound "meh" at the beginning. Personally I did like it though!

I can just re-enact the whole scene in my mind's eye. This is soooo typically Jason!:luv17:

^^^Oh dear! :hpull: I think I'd go with the powdered wig before I'd go for that look! :bang:

ETA - Maybe he was pulling on his hair like this emoji.

I agree on the everyday practice hair being that I have the same hair. Jason tames it better than I do on most days.

Whew, that's a relief. ;)

Hey, y'all, Glacier Falls / Men's SP/FS on Friday and Saturday!

*shrieky noise* I know! I'm so excited. I can't wait for the video to go up on IN. Then I will watch these new programs properly!

Please tell me this isn't Hamilton hair in the making!

 Jason did say to Ted Flett that his hair would be "different", but I'm not sure the Founding Fathers had this in mind;)

Although I do feel for Jason and the curly crowd with hair that frizzes in moisture. My curls loooove moisture, and after a hard workout, I just look like Shirley Temple. Well, I would if I looked like Shirley Temple:biggrin:

I am thinking, even though I think the ponytail is more historically accurate, that he might be veering toward a T&I look for Hamilton? I'm just hoping it's not the bun....

Okay, I just could not picture the bun that is not really a manbun, so I went looking for what he might be talking about.

Here's a picture of Aaron Burr:

Kinda scraggly, not really a bun, and he doesn't look too happy, does he? :noshake:

Here are some more late 18th century men's hairstyles:

:slink: Pretty bad, right? Especially D. And no bun.

Then I found this article about how George Washington used to get his hair to look like that, and its way worse than Burr or those others:

http://phenomena.nationalgeographic.com/2015/06/09/george-washingtons-oh-so-mysterious-hair/

It says sometimes he put his hair in a bag.

Oh god, will that be Jason?

Then I actually found someone criticizing Lin Manuel Miranda's hair: :drama:

https://amp.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2016/jul/18/lin-manuel-miranda-hair-hamilton

At this point I gave up, without having found that bun that's not really a manbun he was talking about. :)

Well, I loved the T&I hair, so this would be more than ok with me. :agree:
